The hotel urgently needs new management, maintenance and a good cleaning team.
We were going to stay in Curitiba for a week, but I decided to book just one day at the hotel because I was afraid of the negative reviews, and they are all true.
The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, the rooms are spacious, but it is very dirty, and when I say very, I mean VERY dirty. The shower stall was all stained, the floor was all greasy, the taps and windows were all covered in crusts of dirt. The floor was all messy. The duvet was apparently used, because the packaging it was in was not sealed, like the others I requested along with the pillows at reception.
The toilet in the bathroom was clogged, I told reception and nothing was done, the shower stall kept leaking water and wetting the entire bathroom.
Not to mention other details like a broken mirror, moths on the ceiling, dirty and peeling walls. The breakfast is ok, everything is hot, but there is not much variety. The space where the coffee is served is small and uncomfortable, and the chairs are like auditorium chairs.
It is worth mentioning that the elevator and reception say that the sockets are 110 and 220, but they do not specify which ones. My hair dryer ended up burning out and when I called reception, I was told that they were all 110v.
The hotel does not have its own parking lot. The parking lot is on the street next door and costs R$35.00 per day. It is located in front of the bus station and there are many homeless people there, which made me feel uneasy about staying there.
Unfortunately, cheap ends up being expensive.
