We took the ferry from Kangaroo Island to the mainland at 7pm. It was already dark and there were many small animals on the road at night. It was best to stay near the pier for the night. After disembarking from Kangaroo Island, we stayed for one night and checked in and out at the hotel. There are no lights in the entire park, so I rely on car headlights and mobile phone lights to find the room number. After finding the room number, the key could not open the door. It was dark, cold, and windy, and I was confused as to why the door could not be opened. After repeated attempts, it finally opened. Stayed in the ‘Stables Cottage’ for one night before heading over to KI. We loved the place, although we used a Stays voucher and stayed during the week we found it reasonably price. Staff we dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable. Nice kitchen area and wood fire. The Stables are situated in a quiet area of the park which made you feel like you were away from everyone. Bed was big and comfy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend

This was a unique establishment. We had a cabin on this old farm with various types of rooms. The downside is the bathroom which sprayed water all over if you are not careful. Our room was only fitted with a microwave that we knew about when booking.

Fantastic caravan park. Very friendly and helpful. Was a muddle up with booking dates, on my end not theirs and a lady Sue who works there still was still able to accommodate our needs at night at the lasy minute. Thank you Sue. Fantastic cabin set ups for kids and pets also. This was my 2nd time and will be going back again for sure. I'm not going to tell you which is the best cabin you'll have to find that out yourselves 😊

Stayed for 1 night on a powered site. Park is average with a camp kitchen available if you need. The toilets/showers are probably clean enough but they are dated and shabby. Lady on reception lovely and friendly and they have a store selling some supplies and basics. Location is beautiful.

The accommodation in the homestead area was very acceptable, however we were disappointed with the camp kitchen it was the filthiest kitchen I have experienced and it is supposed to be a Big 4. There was a sign stating “you use it you clean it” and that’s fair enough. However there was no detergent, cleaning spray, cloths and no hot water. Oops wait there was a lump of steelo wow. If a proud owner/manager leads by example and allocates cleaning materials, then people will clean after they have used the camp kitchen. On cleaning how does one clean wash dishes in the Homestead rooms when there is only a small hand basin. Why can’t there be a dedicated plastic wash dish left in the rooms with the soap and cloths. Does this mean the dishes and cups don’t get washed by previous guests
