If you care about getting a good night sleep beware your room may be a partition room (part of another room) where you can hear every sound next door
Pros: modern decor, all the staff are really nice and engaging, close to beach
Con: there is 0 soundproofing in the walls, you can hear everything next door, affecting your sleep, no privacy
I am writing this review to warn other travelers about the poor infrastructure of this hotel, I have stayed at over hundred hotels around the world and this is the worst experience in terms of unable to sleep or rest, which is the reason I paid for a hotel, I could’ve slept outside on the street and got a better sleep for those 2 nights,I’ve never had to write a review until this experience
If you book a queen (single bed) or room with 2 beds (basically any of the cheaper rooms that’s not a family or vip room), note that you will be getting a room that is joined to another room. The only thing separating your rooms is a wooden door, the walls are NOT partitioned correctly or built with soundproofing. This is confirmed by multiple staff who admitted the 2 rooms used to be a one room before and they separated them. It’s the same setup every floor.
There is 0 soundproofing between you and your neighbor. I stayed for 6 nights, without the noise things are normal and I was going to stay longer. However 3 out of the 6 nights there were guests staying in the room next door.
You can hear clearly the entirety of their conversations, ever word on their tv, them showering, going to the toilet, footsteps, moving stuff, chair, basically anything they do it’s a live replay and it is so clear I felt like I was infringing on their privacy as I can hear everything they’re talking about like they’re next to me, I was nervous to make sounds as I know they can hear me too. They were talking at a normal level and not shouting.
The worst is the snoring. It is not normal to hear every breathing sound in the next room. It turned into a nightmare when I heard the person ************, which is extremely disturbing and upsetting and should not be experienced by anyone. It’s traumatizing and obviously not what you expect when you pay for a hotel room
This is not the same type of noise when your room is near a busy street, or passerby conversations in the hallway from cleaning staff, all of those I have experienced before, this is listening to a stranger breathing next to you when you booked a room to yourself for privacy to sleep, it’s like I’m in a dorm room and worse than a bed on a train because there is no train sounds
When this happened I immediately brought this up to the staff. I brought 3 staff members Including 2 managers in my room and they confirmed they can hear the same sounds. Each time they said they will tell the next manager up and no solution was given. First night, they said fully booked, no other room available, I told them I do not want to stay here and I need to leave, by second night I had not slept for 2 nights and developed a fever cold and headache and stayed inside all day, they told me I can pack up all my stuff and move to a new room, I told them I do not have the energy to pack and move everything as I could not stand up, by this point I had developed a high fever and passed out in my bed
On the last night a manager told me she will give me refund for 2 nights, but then said she said it wrong and got confused. Another manager offered a coupon for a spa and car to airport. I left. I realized I do not want free stuff i want my money back
I lost 2 nights of sleep, my health and wellbeing, I stayed inside all day due to being sick, It interrupted my travel plans and originally I came to Vietnam to travel and this hotel gave me a very bad impression and experience of the place, I’ve never been in a worse soundproofing room as this
I stayed at several hotels in da nang before this and some were much worse in terms of the room and amenities but still I was able to sleep whic
