Daejeon Daeheung Star Hotel

I decided to go on a bread tour to celebrate my elementary school-aged grandson's birthday for the first time. I booked through Trip.com. The room in the photos was great. My child loves massages, so I specifically chose a room with a massage chair. It was more expensive, but I made the reservation. After running around and taking a taxi past 8 PM in the sudden rain, I couldn't find the taxi, so the fare went up even more, so I held out. I asked the desk for the room key, but the old lady, who seemed to be a woman, said there was no one with a reservation. I tried repeatedly to explain that maybe she didn't know. I told her several times that I booked through Trip.com, but she said I wasn't on the list. I called the owner, Niran, and waited for over 10 minutes. They didn't even apologize or tell me to wait. I was completely dumbfounded. I complained to Trip.com. They call this a hotel. They charge high prices without any service and they don't even care about the property. Stop using this site. My child inspected the bed and said, "Grandma, your bed is completely torn." That can't be right. I looked around and saw that even the bed covers and blankets had holes in them. Is this really a hotel? The bathroom was visibly moldy, there was nowhere to hang clothes, and water dripped from the ceiling next to the toilet in the morning. There was no information desk or hotel number. There were two coffee mixers, a paper cup, and a comb, all placed under the TV. My child wanted a leg massage after a long walk, so I was startled when I came down. The massager was old, and the seat was completely torn, including around the buttocks. After a while, she started itching, so I tried it myself and found bugs. My feet were incredibly itchy, and when I scratched them, they grew like small grains of rice, so I had to shower again. What should have been a fun and exciting trip was ruined by this hotel. After checking in, I saw someone who seemed like the owner, but he didn't even apologize and refused to give me a receipt. So, I'm leaving this crappy review here. Please reflect on your actions and contact Trip.com. I'll report this to the press.

The room is a little bigger than expected, the hygiene is good, and the toiletries are also complete. I booked two days separately (I can't book two days at a time, so I booked them separately), but it didn't affect my stay. It is close to the Sacre Coeur. You must eat the freshly baked bread in the morning because it tastes good right out of the oven. The bread in the evening is just average. It is not far from the Central Market. Go north nearby. There is a place to drink in the middle of the hotel and the Central Market. There are bread stuffed with chives and eggs and spicy hot pot (I think) in the Sacre Coeur. Haha, it tastes amazing

The interior was clean, spacious, and the facilities were great! I really appreciated the complimentary water and light refreshments provided in the first-floor lobby. I would definitely visit again!

It was great value for money. It's a short walk to Sky Road and Seongsimdang.
