I don't know where all the good reviews come from. This is a very poor B&B that doesn't include breakfast. First of all, there is no service after 7pm, and it's all self-service. The hygiene is the worst. The carpet, sofa, and pillows on the bed are all stained. You may not be able to see it in the photos, but you can make out the dark stains with the naked eye. As soon as you open the door, you can smell the dust and dampness. The towels are also very stinging, and it feels like they haven't been changed in a long time. I'm surprised that there can be hotels with such poor hygiene standards in the United States. I really don't know how these good reviews come up. The location is also bad. There is basically no scenery or entertainment around. After 8pm, there is no sound in the town. Chinese people should not be fooled again.

We were in Dahlonega for a wedding and this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were big, the bed was comfortable, and it has a delightful front porch where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the passers by. It is an easy walk to the square, and everything you would want to get to in this quaint little town. They have wine tasting on-site (which we did), and a game room (which we didn't check out). The staff was easily accessible and helpful. The porch kitty, Ghost, was also a delight. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and very clean. A little worn. So much character with updated rooms. Would definitely consider going again. There is an elevator.

My wife loved the cappuccino machine and the hotel doesn't charge for it. They have a wine tasting area which is well furnished and immaculate as was the front parlor plus there was nice seating areas to relax on the front porch. If we are ever in Dahlonega again, it would definitely be our first choice. The main square with specialty stores and restaurants and a gold museum was all within walking distance.

Nice place, convenient to the square but the TV was steaming and it kept freezing up. The desk person did not know what to do and there was not TV instructions in the room and she didn’t have any at the desk.

From checkin to checkout, the DSH was a wonderful stay. It had a rustic charm and was a little creaky, but that's what adds to its charm! The beds are very comfortable, the room was spacious and clean and the staff was helpful and professional. My friend and I loved the wine tasting room, too. We'll be back!

This was a lovely hotel and very welcome after a long walk in the morning. The hotel is extremely convenient for the small town of Dahlonega - which itself is pretty and compact. I really slept well here. The only downside is that there are no staff on site until business hours which we hadn't anticipated and we left before anyone arrived. This was solved by a quick call to the out of hours number. I would happily stay there again, it was very comfortable.

What a wonderful place to stay. Check in was a breeze. The rooms were beautifully furnished, and the little amenities like bottles of water were appreciated. Staff was very welcoming. If I’m ever in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there.
