Beautiful hotel, a little off the main busy noisy ***** of Dali Ancient Town, but still only few minutes walk from Cangshan Gate. We were a family of 4 and needed a bit more space so chose the SongTing Suite with 2-bedrooms and a living space, and it was great value. Breakfast had a good selection, and we were offered a packed breakfast too, on the day of check out as we left at 6am. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Just be aware that in the bedrooms, there is no door between the bathroom - otherwise perfect

The location is great, close to the Old Town and the North City Market, and there are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. The ambiance is wonderful, with a Chinese-style courtyard-style building. At night, you can sit in the courtyard and just relax, listening to the water. There are meal coupons, and since we're a family of three, the front desk lady even gave us an extra one, which was really nice. They also give us different snacks and fruits every day, including a plate of Yunnan cross-bridge rice noodles, which were delicious! The room has separate wet and dry areas, which I love. Overall, it was a great experience.
