Stayed here for 3 nights with my dad and absolutely loved it. The staff is incredibly friendly—even though we are foreigners, they welcomed us with tea and spent time chatting with us. They also gave us tons of great recommendations for local places to eat and things to do. The hotel itself has a super relaxing vibe, with a beautiful courtyard and lots of animals just chilling around. Our room was huge, so sharing it was no problem at all. The location is also super convenient: close to the main road, but an easy walk to the ancient town and all the restaurants. Super foreigner-friendly, highly recommend!

The hotel service was excellent, and the rooftop view was fantastic. It was also very clean. The little cat was adorable, and the kids loved it. When there was no room available for the second night, the owner recommended another place, which was also great.

We had a fantastic stay here. The room was beautiful and peaceful with a lovely view of the courtyard. The location was perfect as we could walk to the town centre but there were also lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby. What was most special were the staff.Everyone was so friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.They went above and beyond to be helpful and were amazing in helping my partner after he lost his passport. The animals are also fabulous, all the cats and dogs are calm and beautiful. Would love to return and stay again sometime.

The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities. All the staff were very warm and patient, and helped us with our luggage. The cats and dogs in the courtyard were absolutely adorable, all of them well-behaved, not biting or scratching, just gentle and very therapeutic. The small courtyard was warmly decorated with green plants and flowers. The location is about 1km walk from the South Gate of the ancient city, an easy stroll on a cool day. It's a shame I didn't get a chance to visit Sanyue Street or the North Gate market; I heard they have more local flavor.

We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Dali, it’s beautifully decorated, considerately designed and guarded by 14 cats. Yes, there are 2 dogs too, but one too chubby to move, the other too friendly to bark. Anyway, love the tea house, love the little garden, love where we can read and do calligraphy ❤️
