Dali Sheyu Secret Garden Inn (South Gate of Dali Ancient City)

The bed was great, very breathable; I'd love to ask the owner where they bought it from. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, and the toothpaste was good too. Overall, it was a really nice stay. It's a shame I couldn't book a second night.

My first stop on my solo trip was this hotel. There were so many adorable cats and dogs around! The complimentary fresh flower cake and fruit were delicious and fresh, and the service was excellent. They even gave me a handmade map of local attractions, which was very clear and easy to understand!

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at this guesthouse! Our child was already excited before we even arrived in Dali, hearing about the ten-plus cats and two dogs. Once we got there, our entire family was thoroughly impressed – from the courtyard's decor and amenities to the professionalism of the owner and staff. Waking up in the morning or returning after a day out, we loved playing with the cats and dogs; it was incredibly stress-relieving. The common areas were also very clean and comfortable. My husband needed to work from home, so he spent most of his days in the tea room. On rainy days, the kids would read in the tea room while the adults practiced calligraphy nearby, gazing at the courtyard and lights outside, listening to the rain. It was a rare chance to slow down from our usual busy lives. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, and they even upgraded our room on the last day. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable experience, and we would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Dali.

A beautiful little courtyard! The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the service was warm and polite. They have so many cats and dogs on the property, I absolutely loved the atmosphere.

The room was incredibly clean and well-equipped. My girlfriend and I are both cat lovers, so our overall experience was 100 out of 100. Coming back to the guesthouse every day and seeing the cats was truly blissful. The front desk staff and the owner were incredibly kind and helpful. Beyond the basic services, they enthusiastically assisted us and even recommended many local eateries and attractions. They weren't just robotically answering questions; they showed genuine warmth and human touch. The owner loves tea, and on a rainy day, he offered us many different types of tea to sample, along with fascinating stories about tea culture and its historical background. I highly recommend this guesthouse to pet lovers and foreign travelers alike!!! We will definitely be back!!

The room was very cozy, and the service was excellent. The cats were absolutely adorable, all incredibly well-behaved, and the dogs were super well-behaved too. Goodbye Niu Niu, goodbye Ji Xiang, I'll definitely come back to visit you all again if I get the chance.
