Dali Old City Yueshan Haiban Villa Luxury Hotel

First of all, a big thank you to the hotel! We arrived quite late, and they proactively upgraded us to a sea-view room. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, we had a fantastic view of Erhai Lake. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and provided smiling service throughout our stay. Room service was also very prompt. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the quality was decent. The hotel is located within its own private compound and has a dedicated parking lot. However, there aren't many outdoor activity areas; it's mostly just the compound roads (though I might not have explored everywhere). The room itself was quite spacious, but the layout felt a bit odd. The shower area was huge, yet the vanity space felt a bit cramped. The shelf for toiletries was ladder-shaped and pretty much full on every tier, so guests would need to make space for their own items. Also, the only outlet near the vanity for a hairdryer was blocked by the mouthwash cup, which was a bit inconvenient. During our stay, there was some renovation work going on nearby, and the drilling noise was quite noticeable. This was a bit disruptive for guests who wanted to relax in their rooms and not go out.

On my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise! The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful! Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The rice noodles with braised pork and Weishan stewed pork are incredibly fragrant and delicious!

The concierge service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, providing detailed guidance throughout our stay. They proactively offered recommendations for local attractions and dining spots. Our room was immaculately clean and tidy, and they responded to our requests promptly and patiently. Their attention to detail was evident everywhere, and they were always kind and polite. Our stay was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely choose this place again on our next visit.

During my leisure time, I went to the Seaview Bookstore to await the sunrise, enjoyed three types of tea, made rubbings of horse talismans, and sewed herbal sachets, then took a leisurely walk on the less-traveled forest path. The garden itself has a Kyoto-esque tranquility. The Weishan Braised Pork Er'si at the morning noodle station was the biggest surprise, and the medicinal pork hock with wild mushroom oil was an authentic Yunnan flavor that I instantly fell in love with. For breakfast, you can even choose a Hello Kitty plate, which is super cute! The view right outside the window is stunning, with Cangshan Mountain in full view. This was an excellent staycation experience.

Dali Bali Island, you're beautiful! This is considered a sizable resort hotel in Dali. Many guesthouses in Dali are quite pricey, but among the numerous overpriced options, this place truly stands out with its excellent facilities. You can easily snap stunning scenic photos right within the hotel. The hotel's location is also great, very close to Dali Ancient City and Sanyue Street. It's a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, offering a secluded feel.

A true five-star hotel that excels in every aspect, from environment and cleanliness to service. The lobby is minimalist and grand, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the cleaning standards are incredibly strict, with every detail meticulously handled. The mattress and pillows are exceptionally comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring an undisturbed rest. The staff proactively greeted guests, Echo made check-in and check-out quick and efficient, and room service was prompt. The buffet food quality was great, and the public areas were clean and tidy. My entire stay was comfortable and relaxing.

If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is absolutely the right choice. The overall atmosphere is elegant and peaceful. The hotel's greenery is exquisite, and the lobby is simple yet grand, without noisy crowds. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent; once you close the door, you're shut off from the outside hustle, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. Echo was gentle and polite, patiently resolving any issues. They even called a day in advance to check on our needs and upgraded us to a garden view room without being intrusive. The hot water supply was stable, and the mattress comfort was perfect, ideal for a short, relaxing getaway.

Our dedicated concierge provided seamless and efficient assistance throughout our stay, handling all inquiries quickly and effectively. Everything was meticulously arranged, the environment was clean and comfortable, and the service was professional, thoughtful, and incredibly patient. They truly considered every detail, making our stay exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. Highly recommended!
