Hailan Bay Luxury Hotel

The location was extremely hard to find as it was located inside another building there were no signs of this hotel name anywhere so it was very suspicious and low key. Despite the photos there was no clear indication of its place after somewhat figuring it out and speak to the security guard did I head up to the 8th floor of the suppose reception. The name of the hotel on here is not the name I saw on the reception sign. It is also not a typical hotel reception either it is a room amongst other apartment rooms. Check in was fairly easily despite language barrier. Upon entering the room it was nothing like the pictures at all. It looked very run down and I felt the pictures catfished me into booking this place. The bathroom is like every other non hotel - mould and not as clean thankfully there is a disposable seat cover! The room doesn’t exactly have a view just full of buildings, the room is somewhat clean but upon looking at all the wardrobe bunch of dirty stuff like loads of contact lenses all over the wardrobe which means they don’t bother to check inside only “clean outside” There were broken furniture’s if that matters to you. The bed felt clean thankfully and it is somewhat hard and can feel springs but it’s not overly bad.

While the location and view was nice, I found that the service and amenities were a bit lacking. The good part is that the place had a washing machine, even though it was small, but we had to buy our own laundry detergent, which was easy enough to do at a local convenience store, it’s still one extra thing that takes time. What I really did not like were there disposable towels. If you have never tried one, imagine, trying yourself with plastic toilet paper that cannot tear. It almost doesn’t soak up water that’s all, and gets disgusting really quickly.

I arrived late. Tried to book in. Only one staff member at counter. Was extremely rude. Did not allow me to book in. After a long tiring trip this is Highly unprofessional. Also language barier. Also very rude behavior. Not willing to help. That person should not be working in hospitality.
