The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of convenient dining options nearby. Plus, food delivery comes right to your room via robot! The front desk staff, especially the greeters, were really warm and attentive. You can even catch a glimpse of the sea from the window. Staying two nights offered good value for money. I regret not extending my stay and moving to the Shangri-La across the street the next day instead.

Right on the busiest street, directly opposite the LV flagship store. The location is superb, a classic five-star hotel. Although it's been a while since its last renovation, it's still well-maintained. The minibar is free, but only offers Coke, Sprite, and mineral water. The welcome snack was dried fish fillets and two glass bottles of water. The swimming pool is quite large, and the facilities are good. Breakfast was a highlight; the beef bone soup noodles were absolutely amazing.

The hotel is located a few hundred meters from Zhongshan Square, about a 10-minute walk, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. During Golden Week, it was hard to get a taxi, often waiting over half an hour, but the subway is also within a 10-minute walk. The pool is advertised as the largest in Dalian, but in reality, half of it is very shallow and only suitable for young children to play in, not for actual swimming. So, effectively, only half of the pool is usable. The extra-large 2.4-meter bed turned out to be two 1.2-meter beds pushed together (as shown in image 4). The room window can be opened, and through the French windows, you can glimpse the sea in the distance between the buildings of the Shangri-La across the street. The room also came with complimentary premium bottled water and local Dalian snacks. The breakfast was quite rich.

The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Shangri-La. Overall, my stay was quite pleasant. They generously upgraded me to an executive room. I was a bit surprised to find that the executive lounge on the 22nd floor seemed primarily set up for meetings. Upon checking it out, there were only soft drinks and coffee available. Since there was nothing to eat, I decided to grab a bottle of soda water to take with me. To my astonishment, the staff member wouldn't allow me to, insisting I had to open it and take a sip on the spot before leaving. It was certainly the first time I've encountered such a rigidly 'by-the-book' staff member! On a positive note, the breakfast pancakes were delicious. The motorized curtains and sheers were a bit inconvenient; you couldn't open them halfway. It was either too dark when fully closed or too hot with the sun streaming in when fully open. However, the bathroom shower was excellent!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I originally booked it for the pool, and considering its age, my expectations weren't very high. But to my surprise, from the moment we got out of the car, the concierge staff proactively opened doors and handled our luggage every single time, without fail. In stark contrast, when we later moved to the Four Seasons, we had to carry our own bags inside before anyone offered assistance! While the rooms are a bit dated, it's clear the housekeeping team does a very thorough job. Even my mother, who is a neat freak, found it satisfactory. In contrast, at the Four Seasons, she immediately spotted dust on the glass and high up in the wardrobe! The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The complimentary fish jerky and candies were delicious! There's also a morning market just a hundred meters walk away. We had a minor issue on our second day, but the Guest Services Manager resolved it very professionally. If I have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose the New World! Expensive doesn't always mean best, but we all unanimously agreed that the New World offers the best value for money.

While it's an established hotel with a classic feel, the room's decor and quality are still top-notch. The bathroom facilities don't feel dated at all; both the bathtub and rain shower were extremely comfortable. We did have a minor hiccup with the bathtub's water, but the manager was quick to communicate and resolve it. We opted not to have breakfast at the hotel, as there's a delicious breakfast spot just a 5-minute walk away. Also, the ice cream on the hotel's ground floor was incredibly authentic. We booked a twin room, and the two beds could be pushed together, which was perfect for 3 adults and 1 child. The swimming pool on the 5th floor had a great water temperature, feeling over 25°C. A large section of the pool was a shallow area, which made us feel very comfortable letting the children play. The post-swim showers were very warm, and there was even a spin dryer for swimsuits, plus a steam room. Overall, both the seniors and children thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I absolutely loved this hotel! On August 23rd, the day we checked in, my family was busy helping with our luggage, and I accidentally left my camera in the lobby lounge area. I didn't realize it was missing until the next day, the 24th. I immediately rushed to the front desk to inquire, and thankfully, a staff member had carefully found it and promptly put it away. My valuable camera was safe and sound! Huge thanks to the hotel staff for their professionalism, attentiveness, and carefulness. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center. We rented a car for our outings, and the free underground parking was incredibly convenient. For breakfast, we went to the July 1st Morning Market directly across the street. It was not only convenient but also a great way to experience Dalian's local food culture and the lively atmosphere of a morning market. I'm so glad I chose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, and I really appreciated the cleaning lady on the 11th floor; she was so warm and friendly. The large swimming pool and fitness area are a definite bonus – a perfect score! ☺️☺️

We booked a two-bed suite. The room was spacious and well-equipped. However, finding some items was quite a task; for example, the slippers were hidden in the wardrobe, and the transparent anti-slip mat took ages to locate. There was no small stool in the bathroom, and despite the bathroom being large, the anti-slip mat was surprisingly tiny. On the positive side, check-in, transportation, and dining were all very convenient. The robot delivery service for room service was a convenient touch. However, I was quite disappointed that complimentary fruit was only provided on the first day of our stay, and not on any subsequent days.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location near the Shanmu and Zhenghuangqi dining areas. The lobby staff were very friendly; they proactively offered game tokens to our child when they saw him/her lingering near the claw machine, which made our child very happy. However, the cleanliness was truly disappointing. We arrived around 11 AM during peak season. Since our room wouldn't be ready until after 2 PM, we headed out to explore. That night, as I pulled back the duvet, something got on my hand. Upon closer inspection in the bathroom, it turned out to be a false eyelash. Further inspection of the bed revealed more remnants on the duvet cover. I called the front desk to request a duvet change, but was informed that due to full occupancy, they couldn't provide a spare duvet. It was only after I thoroughly explained the situation (pointing out multiple false eyelash remnants, not just one spot) that they agreed to change the duvet cover. The older male staff member who came to replace it was quite clumsy; the duvet cover was dragged on the floor multiple times, making for a rather poor experience. We stayed for two consecutive nights. On the second day, when the cleaning staff came, I noticed the room across the hall had just checked out and observed them emptying the trash bin directly into a large communal bin. Concerned about the hygiene, we subsequently declined daily room cleaning.

I spent quite some time debating between Furama, Shangri-La, and New World before finally settling on New World, as its price point was in the middle. It was only upon arrival that I realized how close all three hotels are. In hindsight, for a three-night stay, it would have been fun to experience each one. As for New World, my overall impression was very positive. The room was clean and quite spacious, making for a comfortable stay. I particularly enjoyed the design of the shower and the toiletries provided. The downstairs buffet also made dining very convenient. However, there were a couple of drawbacks: it's about a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station, and the mattress had an issue – even a slight turn caused the bed to wobble significantly.

The room was spacious and bright. The mattress was a little on the soft side, but the bathroom facilities were clean and well-equipped. The service was warm and attentive, and housekeeping on our floor was prompt and thorough. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, and we were seated quickly. The freshly made pancakes and various noodle dishes were especially delicious, and the service was excellent and efficient. My only minor complaint was that the toaster was a bit old and tended to burn the toast.
