The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas

Dallas City Center Dallas|2.29km from World Trade Center
I love this hotel so much and always enjoy my stays here! From the moment I stepped out of my car until I stepped back in, the staff made me feel like a Ritz Carlton should make one feel pampered and cared for! The little touches, such as the guacamologist in the lobby to the world's best shot of margarita this side of the Pecos, you are transported when you enter the lobby and acknowledged by your name by everyone, as it should be. My luggage and the valet were waiting at my door when I stepped off the elevator, and my Titanium status had earned me an upgrade to a fabulous Junior Suite. On the table in the living area was a welcome note with my handwritten name on it and a box of artisan truffles to enjoy as I settled in. This was the evening of an unfortunate power outage in the hotel, but the staff did not miss a beat. The generators kicked on to keep the common areas lit, and an elevator worked for guest use, so we weren't stuck in our rooms. The Ritz Carlton Club was still operational, and the staff laid out beautiful dinner and dessert buffets by lantern light. It was almost a shame that the lights did come back on just over an hour later; it had been that enjoyable. My mobile key wouldn't open the gym door the following day, so I called downstairs as the app prompted me to ask if it could be reset remotely. The desk clerk said not to worry, she would come to me and was there with a new key within two minutes! The gym was excellent, with so many machines and spaces for everything, including a semi-private area for yoga/pilates. Breakfast was great; I especially loved the fresh-pressed juice options. I had mentioned my love of the oatmeal at check-in, and the next day, the chef emailed me the recipe! I wish all Ritz Carltons offered this level of service and excellence, but until they do, I'll continue to proclaim the Dallas location as the best in the country!

Sheraton Suites Market Center Dallas

My wife and I travel extensively. This year we have accumulated 240 nights at Marriott hotels alone. We gave this hotel a 3 out 5, even though its the best hotel ergonomically that I have ever stayed at. There is a indoor/outdoor pool, full bar, pool table, gym, VIP lounge, restaurant, adult game center and complimentary parking. The room we stayed in, was a 2 bedroom and had a shower combo with a large bathtub. Great for soaking in a hot soothing bath with a glass of wine! The rooms are dark and updated, the TV has open hdmi ports to connect steaming devices easily. The cleaning staff very quiet, day and night, and the beds are comfortable, making for a good sleep, day or night, a priority. The rooms at a glance are clean and tidy but under the edge of the bed we found a sticky and dirty patch that had been there for a long time. Eww! We stayed on the 8th floor so we had a great veiw of the city of Dallas. The 2 elevators are very quick and responsive so getting fresh coffee from the fresh bean cappuccino/latte machine was quick and painless! The thing we loved about this hotel is that we could literally stay on site and enjoy the complimentary full breakfast, go to the on site gym and workout, later swim outside and if it rains, swim inside and enjoy the hot tub. Then play chess or mini shuffleboard in the Sheraton room. Then have lunch at the restaurant, play some on site pool and then hit the on site bar at 4pm. Have a few cocktails then eat dinner at the on site restaurant. We didn't have to leave the hotel! Its a very well laid out hotel and its in a great location. The staff (Erica, Zina, Lulu and Juan) were awesome!, they were professional, friendly and very helpfull. They are and asset to this hotel. The only down side is the maintenance and cleanliness. This is typical of almost every hotel we stay in. The pool is large and lots of lounge chairs but the pool was turning green and full of debris. My wife and I cleaned the pool ourselves and went swimming regardless. The accent lighting beside the pool were so rusted that the supports had crumbled and the wiring was exposed. There was a glass table in the pool area the was shattered and needed attention asap. We informed the hotel staff and they had the broken glass cleaned up immediately. Overall the best layed out hotel for travelers but as usual not maintained and cleaned to adequate standards. Clasic case of profits first and quality second! If this hotel gets a good maintenance team and teaches the cleaning personnel to thoroughly clean the rooms, this would be a 5 start hotel!

Unlike others who have reviewed this hotel, I found it to be very modern and my only main issues were with a slight lack of cleanliness, the location, and the refrigerators in the room. Some pros and cons from my recent two-night stay: PROS: - Lovely staff at check in - Room was relatively clean, except for 4-5 hairs in the shower from a previous guest - Large bathroom with a separate sink outside in a different section of the room - Rooms were large and lighting was good - Hotel was surprisingly quiet for being on a relatively main road - The shower was hot and had excellent water pressure (but there was no body wash in the bottle on the wall) - Super comfy beds — I slept great! - Location — I was skeptical at first, as this hotel really isn’t near anything for the typical tourist, but I did take a Lyft into town one morning and then walked back to the hotel in just under 30 mins … it’s a very pleasant and quiet walk through the Dallas Design District! CONS: - My biggest disappointment during my stay was with the refrigerator, especially as I usually choose a hotel based on whether or not it has one. The fridges in the rooms here only stay on for two hours at a time (and you have to press a button on the inside to make it turn on) — which to me seems a bit stupid … I asked staff at reception about this when I checked in and they said that it would stay on all night … but all the food I put in the fridge overnight was warm and ruined by morning :( I mentioned to reception once again that my fridge was turning off every two hours — they said this definitely wasn’t normal and they’d get an engineer to come and look at it ASAP. I’m confident no-one ever looked at it whilst I was out, because it continued to turn off every two hours and my food was ruined again the following night :( - They could definitely do with dusting the air vent in the bathroom! - Even though I hadn’t yet checked out, cleaners knocked on my door at 8:15AM on the day of my departure. Thankfully, I was already up, but not everyone gets up this early… at 9.10AM they knocked again — and when I asked who was there, they didn’t respond. I am very confused about what sort of check-out system they have here? Quite annoying. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, partly for the fridge and partly for the location — but otherwise it was a quiet, comfortable stay :)

I just had an overnight staycation at the Warwick Melrose hotel and it was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend joining The Journey Club to secure the best rates for this hotel and also earn points. Everyone at the hotel was extremely attentive and friendly providing an excellent guest experience. The hotel has beautiful old world charm décor yet full of modern amenities. We had a fabulous experience at the LeSpa and highly recommend the hot stone massage. We spent the afternoon at the pool which was relaxing and very enjoyable with lots of shade options available to hide from the Texas heat if you need. Angela in the Library Bar was fantastic and we had a very delicious Beef Tenderloin for dinner. Our room was beautiful, large bathroom, dressing room, electronic plugs for laptops and fantastic lighting. Beds and pillows were luxurious and comfy. I can't say enough wonderful things about this gem of a hotel. Andrew Wright the General Manager has done an amazing job maintaining 5 star service across all departments.

I decided to cash in Honors points for my stay earlier in the month. I suspected the property hadn't been renovated from my last visit 2 years ago and I was correct. I would have liked a room on the backside of the hotel due to the freeway noise issue, but it wasn't in the cards. The business center wasn't working on all cylinders and the Honors Diamond breakfast had alot to be desired. Other than those issues, my stay was fine.

Everything was great, the service and amenities. Very courteous to everyone and a lot of hospitality given here and there. The elevator shaky at times other than thought the place was pretty solid. Food wasn’t offered due to COVID but the food in the city is amazing and worth eating I’d recommend.

Hotel Love airport shuttle service is now handled by Lyft. Just call the hotel upon arrival as the hotel then arranges Lyft for you immediately. Exit baggage claim to the ”App pick up” spot which is right at the exit. Lyft arrived promptly. Unlike traveler below, we had no issues. And post game -7pm-returned to hotel to pick up our stored luggage(free), and hotel still paid for Lyft to take us from the hotel back to Love Field. Very prompt pick up. Excellent service by Erin K (along her staff) with our room mix up, and hotel went over the top to help us even though they were full! Rooms were nicely redone, bath was like brand new. They even found us a phone charger to borrow! Couch was comfortable bonus. Very quiet. Computers available to print boarding passes. Staff were great! My wife would have loved it but this was a boys trip! Definitely would stay here again.
