Xilamuren Grassland Tourism Resort

Very disappointed with this experience. We booked a yurt stay in the grassland through Trip.com, but when we arrived, the entire resort was closed and completely deserted — not a single staff member around. It was still listed as available online, which was very misleading. We had to pay extra for transportation to get there, and were only lucky that our driver was kind enough to take us back to the city. Special thanks to the PIC who later contacted us and informed about the seasonal closure — appreciate the follow-up, but this should have been clearly stated before booking.

The resort was abandoned and unsafe. When I arrived, there were almost no staff, no check-in, no water, and no power. The man on site tried to place me in a cheap room instead of the yurt I booked. When I insisted, he showed me a yurt but gave no key or access card. I decided to stay only two hours waiting for driver come back to pick up and left for safety reasons. 😡😱😡😱

Had an amazing experience here, particularly with the guide 李琪. Super knowledgeable about local attractions. Fantastic service for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend going horse riding with him. It's quite rare to meet honest, decent people in the tourism industry but he is one of them.

Staying at Xilamuren Grassland Tourism Resort was one of the most heartwarming and memorable parts of my journey in Inner Mongolia. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and perfect for the grassland atmosphere. I truly appreciated the attention to detail in every service – from check-in to meals and daily activities. The resort provided everything I needed for a comfortable and immersive experience. But what made this place stand out most was the hospitality of the host. The owner was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt at home – and that’s something you don’t find everywhere. If you're looking for a genuine local experience, with both comfort and connection, I highly recommend this resort. 5/5 for service, accommodation, food, and especially the amazing host.
