Our stay with Liqi and at the yurt resort was an incredibly special and enjoyable experience that we will bring with us always . We spent three days in the Xilamuren grasslands spending time riding horses, go karting, dirtbiking out in the deep grasslands. The activities were incredibly enriching but it was really Liqi, Hongguang, Fu Shifu, Aoerqileng, Daxia and Liqiang’s hospitality (or: and the team’s) that really made the experience one that was truly enjoyable, personal, warm and one that we will keep with us in small and big parts forever! Their generosity in sharing with us their time and the fun activities left us a great connection to the xilamuren grasslands and the team. Their hosting made us, a group of young female travellers feel very safe and always in great hands. We also got private transport to and from the location, and places in between, which was essential in such a vast place :) We cannot recommend this stay and experience anymore!

The stay was quite enjoyable. We booked for traditional yurt, but seeing I was accompany by my son, they upgraded to family yurt without additional charges. Sunrise view around 5:00 am from the bed is A+. They also helped us to arrange our itenaries with discounted internal price. Everyone is friendly and helpful even with language barrier. The scenaries is beautiful. The activities are enjoyable, could improve the food & transport from reception to the yurt (a long walk with heavy luggages was a bit inconvenient but the driver helped us carry the luggages)

Here's the updated review with that additional context: Full Version We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good. That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile. Balanced Short Version (Google/TripAdvisor): Great experience thanks to one of the owners, who personally organized activities for us. Very disappointed with this experience. We booked a yurt stay in the grassland through Trip.com, but when we arrived, the entire resort was closed and completely deserted — not a single staff member around. It was still listed as available online, which was very misleading. We had to pay extra for transportation to get there, and were only lucky that our driver was kind enough to take us back to the city. Special thanks to the PIC who later contacted us and informed about the seasonal closure — appreciate the follow-up, but this should have been clearly stated before booking.

The resort was abandoned and unsafe. When I arrived, there were almost no staff, no check-in, no water, and no power. The man on site tried to place me in a cheap room instead of the yurt I booked. When I insisted, he showed me a yurt but gave no key or access card. I decided to stay only two hours waiting for driver come back to pick up and left for safety reasons. 😡😱😡😱

So nice, help us with everything! Recommend us what to do!!
