Milano Grand

Very convenient location, close to the bus station and not far from the cave temple. The breakfast is decent with a good variety of fruits, but they wake you up by knocking on the door.

A good hotel, a friendly receptionist who'll show you around and give you advice. The location is excellent, right across from the bus station for both Sigiriya and Kandy. The Golden Buddha Temple is also within walking distance. The breakfasts are good, with lots of fruit and delicious food. The room is just like any other room, with hot water, good air conditioning, and a comfortable bed. I definitely recommend it.

An exceptional stay at the Milano Grand – a true 5-star experience for quality and hospitality We stayed two nights at the Milano Grand, and the experience was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a refreshing drink, which was truly welcome after a long journey. The staff is impeccable, incredibly kind and helpful. A huge thank you to the manager, Lucky, whose kindness and professionalism transformed our stay. Our heavy luggage was carried to our room, and we received excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining. They even reserved and arranged a scooter for us for our explorations the following day. Breakfast was fit for a king: fresh fruit, fresh smoothies, variety, and generous portions. The rooms were large, very clean, and truly comfortable. The location is perfect: right next to the bus station. And best of all, at check-out, Lucky personally escorted us to the station to show us exactly which bus to take. A rare, thoughtful, and deeply appreciated gesture. For the price, the quality, the welcome, and the kindness of the staff, this hotel easily deserves 5 stars. I highly recommend the Milano Grand. An exceptional address in Dambulla 🙏✨

[Location] The bus terminal is right in front of the hotel. However, depending on your destination, your bus may not start from the bus terminal. A small supermarket is less than a five-minute walk away. [Room] The room was reasonably spacious. A convenient feature for travelers: an adapter for the power outlets was included. The shower had very weak hot water and a limited amount of water. The only amenities provided were soap. [Breakfast] Toast (with butter and jam), baked goods, several types of fruit, and tea. Not luxurious, but sufficient. [Other] The owner was very kind. He recommended good restaurants and where to buy things. After returning from Sigiriya, I had some time to spare, so when I called Pick Me to go to the cave temples but they didn't show up, the owner offered to drive me to the entrance of the cave temples on his motorbike. On the morning of my final day, he also offered to give me a ride on his motorbike to the bus stop for Polonnaruwa. Even if the facilities weren't perfect, the owner's personality adds a lot to the score.

If I'd looked at the map and gone, I'd have had a hard time finding it. Even if it's close, I think taking a tuk-tuk is a good option. For the Sigiriya sunrise, it's relatively close to the city center, but not too far away, so it's in a great location. Lucky at the reception is friendly, humorous, and helpful. However, the tuk-tuk driver who called me didn't speak any English, which was a bit surprising. The room was minimalistic, and the green balcony view was soothing. The air conditioning made it cold, so I asked for hot water, and they brought me a liter of it in a bottle. I made some barley tea and drank it, which helped me kick my cold.

We really liked the hotel, it was clean, cozy, conveniently located, close to the bus station.

非常棒的旅館，房間非常的舒服，床睡着很舒服，很大，衞生間也很大，WIFI網絡非常好，還有空調，空調製冷效果非常好。房間整潔衞生。早餐特別好吃，有各種水果，雞蛋餅，麪包，咖啡和茶，還有果醬和奶油。水果味道都特別好。最值得一提的就是旅館的老闆大哥，人真的是太好太好了。早晨我到了後他就問我是不是去丹布勒石窟，我説是，他主動用自己的電動車把我免費送到了石窟售票處，還告訴我下來後可以看金佛寺。晚上我到店裡後他沒在，前面飯店的小男孩把我帶到了房間，小男孩主要是服務飯店的所以以為WIFI密碼就是盒子上的，過了一會老闆回來了主動過來告訴我正確的密碼，太温暖貼心了還又再次和我確認了早餐時間。早晨早餐我出來時已經準備好了，早餐太棒了。知道我要來波隆納努瓦，老闆非常仔細的告訴我應該去哪裡坐車還把我送到門口，人太好了。感覺老闆大哥在特別用心的經營自己的旅館，對客人都特別好，感謝您。
