Where do I start? My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary in the FL area. We started out at Embassy Suites in Deerfield for a couple of days, then drove up to the Keys to spend a day and stayed at the Fairfield in Marathon and both were excellent just amazing. But then we decided to end our celebration back toward Ft. Lauderdale at the Comfort Inn in Dania Beach so we could be close to the airport when we left. This was the worse experience I have ever had at a hotel. This was the first time that it was so bad that we had to check out early. The only good thing was the front desk employees. I actually feel sorry for what they have to put up with... I normally don't leave feedback but I could not let this go... Day one (The Door) - The first sign of what to come was the hotel key wouldn't work so after lugging luggage to our room my husband had to go back down and have them fix the key for door. My husband had to go down three times before they came up and had to reset the door with their little machine. What was ironic was the couple that checked in the same time we did was right next door to us and their key did not work either so they had to go back down and get their key fixed as well. Day One (The room) - The room smelled like mold and the air conditioner had a rattling noise to it if I could upload the video I took I would. The chair to the desk was horrible it was so beat up that I did not want to sit in it and the couch was stained. (See photos). This right here tells me that the management could care less about the upkeep of their rooms. As long as the lobby smells and looks good then they are fine. It takes nothing to replace that chair. Trust me I know I had to buy one for my home office when the pandemic started. Day two-three (the door again) - On Day two we had the same issue with the door again and the only thing the staff did was issue new keys and they had to reset the door with the little key machine I did ask for a new room and they stated that they were booked and could possibly do it after people check out and have the room cleaned. But as I was at the front desk getting my second set of keys another guest was there complaining about their room having bugs. By the time we returned it was late and I just wanted to lay down and get in the bed so I didn't press the issue. Day Three - was a repeat of Days one and two but this time when we returned to the hotel we were totally locked out and could not get in at all...Even after trying to reset it with the key machine they had to call the maintenance guy and he could not get in as well...We were locked out for about 30 minutes before we were able to get into our room. This time as we were going up and down on the elevator to see if each set of keys worked another hotel guest was trying to check out early because his room smelled like mold as well and he stated that they said all rooms smelled that way....This could be really bad for anyone that has re

The only reason i dont give it 5 stars is because of one individual here by the name of Marsha. Ive been staying at this motel6 since March 1st. Ive gotten acquainted with most of the staff since Ive been here and some look forward to saying hi to my dog Leo. Sonia the general manager has been the definition of a leader and hard worker who serves by being the example to those around her. Her staff hold her in high regard due to always being on top of things and doing everything in her power to make ones experience pleasant. The building itself is pretty old and its in need of a heavy restoration but maintenance due everything in their power to be on top of things when it comes to maintaining the property. Ever since the pool opened again best believe that is always clean and ready for one to enjoy it. When it comes to individuals checking in you can expect to come across sketchy people but the staff nor the location have no control over that but they do have security between 8pm to 6am and the enforce the rules and stay on top of difficult guests. When theyre have been incidents, their quick to resolve them and have Dania Beach police station less than 2 mins away who always handle the situation when need be. People need to understand that this location facilitates guest with pets and they're laundry staff work really hard like Ericka who has gone above and beyond for me making sure my sheets and sheets over all are up to standards. The cleaning crew here always make sure that my mom and my dog Leo are comfortable which makes me appreciate the staff here that much more accept Marsha who must have a book of complaints but yet she is still employed as a front desk staff member. She belongs back in being in charge of the cleaning crew because as a front desk agent she lacks the common sense and who feels shes part of management when management is not around. Over all my experience till today has been great but thanks to Marsha Im deciding to leave because I now feel Marsha has made things personal. Individuals like her DO NOT BELONG at the front desk. Individuals like her need to be kept in the back away from guests because she is great at tarnishing peoples experience here and the rest of the staff. One more thing, everybody including the people who work here TOLERATE her but nobody likes her. When you come to the front desk to check in ask for the persons name and if its Marsha, talk to management because she will make you want to go to another location because thats how difficult and ignorant she is. Ive spent over $13,000 since March 1st, I dont expect any sort of special treatment but i do expect to interact with individuals who know theyre roll and position, not individuals like Marsha who lives in her own world and plays victim and is rude when one is trying to talk and tell her thats shes completely out of place and in the way she interacts with guests.

Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale Airport Cruise Port

Booked two rooms here for a family 2 night pre-cruise stay. It started off well, with a fast pickup by their free airport shuttle to the hotel. However, that glow didn't last when I reached the front desk. The person working there was neither friendly nor helpful and took quite awhile for checking in at 9:00 pm when they weren't busy. One of the rooms was as expected for a typical Hyatt Place layout. The other room was at the end of the floor and was an odd-shaded L-configuration, that appeared to have less square footage than the other room, even though they were both the same price. However, the rooms were clean, if dated, as other reviews have noted. While the A/C is loud, it is certainly efficient, as several times I had to turn it down because the room was too cold. While there is a small fridge, there is no safe, unfortunately, which I always find troubling for any hotel property. The included breakfast, although basic, was still decent and appreciated at this price point. There is also a nice outdoor patio for eating. The pool is small, but at least they have one and some decent lounge chairs. I also found some other staff at the front desk who were more helpful the next day. I would consider staying here again if the need arises and the price is reasonable.

We Booked this hotel to stay One night as we were leaving the next morning early to go to Miami for an appointment. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice. Breakfast was great in the morning. Nothing negative to say except they should have a make up mirror in the bathroom and a towel for the floor shower. Which we told the front desk. We will definitely be back for our next trip. Very pleasantly surprised.

2 Room Corner King. Spacious and nice view of planes landing if facing north. Some consistent positives are the morning breakfast, keyless check-in and checkout. Decent size hotel with one ice machine, which is fine because the full-size fridges have an ice maker. One elevator, but there are a couple of stairwells. Pool is open from dawn to dusk and the fitness center is 24hrs, with a couple of treadmills, ellipticals, bike, and free weights. The beds are comfy with 4 pillows. Clean rooms. Outdoor seating area with grill. there aren't a lot of restaurant options close by, just a short drive. 20 minutes or so from a beach, with no traffic. Plenty of outlets in the room are good. Free parking. This place is worth the stay.

We took shuttle to FLL airport on Nov 2 morning at 8 am. The driver was holding his cell phone and chatting with friend all the way down to airport. When arrival, he ask for tips without any hesitation. We told him his behavior is not acceptable. He rudely replied “ Call police, call 911”. Because We are from California, we checked Florida law before we wrote this review. “ This rule restricts a CMV driver from reaching for or holding a mobile phone to conduct a voice communication, as well as dialing by pressing more than a single button. “ CMV drivers who use a mobile phone while driving can only operate a hands-free phone located in close proximity. In short, the rule prohibits unsafely reaching for a device, holding a mobile phone, or pressing multiple buttons.” If we understood correctly, strongly suggest to be cautious to ask for their shuttle service.

when we checked in had to pay additional 40 something damage deposit. dont know if I get that back or not. plus 42$ parking fee because we brought a big truck.i had previously called the hotel to confirm truck parking. once there was told Should have paid parking with booking. still over all room was clean and no bugs or any other critters . if they were any they were too stoned to move.i think everyone on our floor had a medical issue because there was a lot of **** being smoked. I got high twice walking to our car. I would stay again as for as another business trip . for a family vacation place I would not being so out of place being white. staff was very friendly but there is active construction going on at present time.

Very clean hotel with eggs and meat for breakfast. It can be reached on foot from the beach. The surrounding area is very convenient, with 24-hour supermarkets and Wal-Marts. There is also a Hunan Chinese restaurant across the road. The meals are very affordable. There are spicy and non-spicy ones. The boss is very nice. Open until ten o'clock in the evening. Hotel parking is free. Recommend staying.
