Hotels in Shangri-La Town, Daocheng

We stayed here for 2 night to explore Yading Nature Reserve. Overall a great place to stay. + The room floor was not too cold, the hot shower was working fine and strong, there is also a humidifier. + 5-minute walk to the Yading service center where you buy tickets and board the bus + Several supermarket and stores nearby (but didn't see a lot of restaurant options) + Morning breakfast was good, hot and tasty + The lady boss and her brother were helpful in giving suggestions, arranging taxi to Daocheng for us, etc.

Service: The staff was warm and attentive, and their professionalism and dedication were evident from check-in to room entry. Any requests were promptly addressed, making us feel right at home. Overall Cleanliness: The room was spotlessly clean, the floor was pristine, and the furniture was dust-free, leaving us feeling incredibly comfortable. Lighting and View: The lighting was excellent, and the strategically placed windows allowed for ample sunlight during the day, creating a bright and warm room. The view from the window was stunning, and waking up to the sunshine and beautiful scenery was a wonderful start to the day.

The location of this hotel is simply superb! It's just about 100 meters from the bus station, so I could easily walk there with my luggage – incredibly convenient for independent travelers. Plus, there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, so you'll never have to worry about finding food or essentials. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated traditional ******* house. Its exterior is very distinctive, and as soon as you step inside, you're enveloped in a rich cultural ambiance. What surprised me most was how the thick walls act like a 'natural climate control'! Even though there are significant temperature fluctuations in high-altitude regions, the room temperature felt remarkably stable, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. It truly embodies the concept of being 'warm in winter and cool in summer'. Staying here offers the perfect blend: you get to experience the authentic charm of ******* architecture while still enjoying comfortable and convenient modern amenities. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly immersive cultural experience!

The pillows are comfortable, and it is very suitable to read books on the chair. The sanitation is very clean, the location is good, quiet, there are many restaurants nearby, there is a massage chair at the door, the boss lady is enthusiastic, and the boss is also very kind. I am satisfied

Before booking a hotel, I always check reviews. Many guests praised the owner of Tule Boutique Hotel for being kind and hospitable. During the off-season, when many hotels and shops were closed, this hotel stood out with its surrounding affordable delicacies and high cost-performance ratio, so I decided to book it. Upon arrival, it exceeded our expectations – the rooms were clean, spacious, and hygienic. The area was packed with great food options, and attractions were easily accessible. The hotel also provided parking. When departing, heavy snow led to traffic controls and road closures at Karazi Mountain and Zheduo Mountain, forcing us to delay our exit from Daocheng Yading. With many stranded tourists causing a surge in room demand, the owner, acting as an ethical businessperson, refused to raise prices and instead offered invaluable route advice. We sincerely appreciate her help. Following her suggestion to stay an extra day, we eventually left smoothly. During the delay, she even lent us the kitchen to cook. Thankfully, we trusted the online recommendations and chose Tule Hotel. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Shangri-La. If I were to rate it, I’d give it A+++++! Once again, heartfelt thanks to the owner!

The staff are very friendly and helpful with everything. The room is clean and the floor is warm. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the bus station and supermarket. However, the hotel name may not match the English sign. Look for “First Hotel”.

The room is huge. It was also very clean. It was the best night of sleep during this trip. There was no high-reflection. The service in the restaurant was very enthusiastic. The reception at the front desk still needs to be improved. The breakfast was rich and tasted good. Highly recommended.

The room was well-equipped, with free oxygen concentrators and humidifiers. Also, free hiking sticks were available for borrowing. Parking was very convenient. Although the hotel is located in a busy city, it was very quiet. I was very satisfied. A more extensive breakfast would have been even better.

Arriving in Shangri-La, we stayed at Bo Xin Yun Jing for the night. It was the best hotel of the trip. As soon as the car arrived at the hotel entrance, the waiter came directly to help with our luggage. Facilities: The hotel is very large, divided into two buildings. I surprisingly walked into the wrong door (luckily I didn't open it). Environment: The hotel is nice, but the soundproofing is not very good. People passing by could hear their conversations. A small side note: The reading light (bedside lamp) in the room was broken, which was a hassle to fix. We had to call someone from town to fix it. The front desk guy was very tactful and gave me a desk lamp as an emergency solution. It was great. The breakfast was also good, and they offered coffee. ☕ Hiking poles and itching relief were provided.

It was late at night when we arrived at the hotel. The front desk was very patient and enthusiastically answered some questions about going to Daocheng Yading. The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities and a comfortable stay!
