The Sea Ranch Resort
"My visit was average. Front desk person (AA male evening shift) was very pleasant. My room was okay however my sister's room was unpleasantly odorous with an unexpected portable humidifier in the room. We enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the waitress was very nice. The wedding food was just okay. The hotel needs to definitely upgrade overall."
Days Inn by Wyndham Kill Devil Hills Oceanfront - Wilbur
"The price/performance ratio is very high, and it feels like a small house with all the necessary features. It is a few steps from the seaside, suitable for watching the sunrise in the morning, and it is not far from the Wrights brother memorial hall."
Mia's Boutique Hotel
"The room was very clean and well-equipped. It was also very close to the Bund, the beach, and the National Coastal Park."
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Nags Head Oceanfront
"Good Hotel over all location great desk staff greet. Indoor pool and beach access out back of hotel"
Lighthouse View Oceanfront Lodging

The Inn on Pamlico Sound
Outer Banks Motor Lodge
"The sea is just outside the door, and there are barbecue facilities in the yard. There is a small kitchen and a large refrigerator in the room. I went to the supermarket to buy some seafood and cooked a hot pot, and then went to the beach for a walk in the breeze. It was a good stay experience."

Holiday Inn Express KITTY HAWK – OUTER BANKS by IHG
"Great location, easy to find and everything 'as advertised'. Decor in room was very nice, seemed updated! We had very little shower pressure, yet it was enough to actually 'shower'. I'm glad the window shade was heavy duty, it kept the heavy sun out to be as cool as possible. The air was a bit loud and literally hot/cold- we just kept it cooler than preferred to ensure it didn't get/stay hot. it was a GREAT touch they left it on cool for our arrival- thank you! Pool looked inviting, we just couldn't make time to use it. We booked it last minute to join a family vaca opportunity- they were in a bigger house up north, we got as close as we could- great option. We'll be back!!"
The Tranquil House Inn
"First of all, you have to book with a third party agency which also charges you a fee on top of all the other fees the Inn charges. Our four night stay cost us over $1500. The room was a standard size with 2 queen beds. Upon our arrival we were not offered any help with our luggage and had to climb two flights of stairs to the room. No daily maid service was provided, not even to empty the small trash cans in the room. They did offer a "continental breakfast which was sub par to say the least. Hard boiled eggs, small blueberry muffins, juice coffee, yogurt, fruit and water. For the price of the room, they should have offered a free full breakfast. The staff was friendly and the place was clean, but for the money you pay to stay there, there should have been more amenities. It was located right on the water front and you could walk to the shops and restaurants in the "downtown" area. All that being said , we did enjoy our vacation but would not stay there again. Probably would have been less expensive to rent a condo on the beach."
Sand Spur Cottages
"Very comfortable and very clean"
Pamlico Station Edgecamp
"This is a very unusual hotel. There is no lobby, no check-in desk, no people. The only interior spaces are the rooms themselves. After you book online, the hotel emails you a code to open the door to your assigned room. If you have any questions or concerns, you text a (very responsive) concierge. It's basically an Airbnb in the form of a hotel. I loved it. The rooms themselves are spacious and beautifully apportioned. Even the most basic room has a kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, and stove, plus a comfy couch, a television, and a dining area. The WiFi is strong and reliable. There is an outdoor wellness deck with a sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge. The whole place looks and feels spotless and brand new (because it is). The location and setting are fabulous. The beach is just blocks away. There's a pizzeria across the road. They offer a discount on the booking rate to North Carolina residents. If you're looking for an uncomplicated, no-fuss place to stay in Rodanthe, this is it."
Sea Foam Motel
"First let me say The Sea Foam Motel has been in business for 77 years I think. The fact that it has survived some pretty terrible storms is a bit of a miracle. The location is great! Great and easy beach access . Very nice pool. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely nice! We had a second floor side ocean view room with a king. Our room was very clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. Kitchenette had all you would need for quick little meals and snacks. Fridge is very tiny. Now for the less favorite things. Motel in great need of updating. Very old, mismatched furniture. New LVP flooring versus any carpet would be a plus. Walls, doors, trim, etc. need work. Linens were clean but also very worn. Bottom sheet very "pilly" and top sheet torn. Towels thin and tiny. Regulating water temp in shower was a constant challenge but water pressure was great. Be prepared to let hot water run quite a bit to reach optimal temperature. Strong musty odor of an old building. Bathroom fixtures very dated and in need of replacing. Some stairs are very narrow. If you have any physical limitations get a bottom floor room. Passage between building to reach beach needs repairs and sometimes had a very strong garbage smell. Foot rinse station not working and outdoor shower rinse station full of sand so couldn't rinse your feet off coming from beach. There were a lot of their "regulars" staying there and all seemed to really enjoy visiting with each other. All and all for the price certainly not a terrible place but improvements would go far."
