We had an absolutely amazing stay at Taj Chia Kutir Darjeeling! Nestled in the heart of the hills, the tranquil atmosphere was perfect for unwinding. The tea plantation trek was a highlight, offering breathtaking views and a serene experience. The free yoga classes were a wonderful addition, helping us feel completely rejuvenated. The food was delicious, with a variety of flavorful options to suit every palate. Above all, the staff were exceptional – attentive, warm, and incredibly helpful. It was truly a memorable stay, and we can't wait to return!

Taj Chia Kutir nestled in Makaibari tea estate of Kuerosong.. 35 Kms from Bagdogra Airport is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the nature. A truly 5 star Property with spectacular views, specious modern rooms with great food and superb housekeeping. The staff is ever courteous and goes out of their way to cater to your special demands.. Must mention Chef Pankaj Nagarkoti who took exceptional care in providing me with diabetic desserts and also for his efforts in making our meals special. Must mention Abhijeet& Maghna of their F & B for their excellent service. Must mention Mr. Lokesh and Mahesh and Bhaskar of front desk and Mr. Shahid Akhtar of Housekeeping for their wonderful service. It’s really worth visiting this property & shall cherish our time spent there. WAH TAJ!!

Location is truly mesmerising, enveloped in clouds most of the time , this is a quintessential luxurious place to stay. Property has been very well maintained and thoughtfully designed and curated. Service standards and staff training have the imprint of Tajness

Bestest holiday I’ve had in last many years. Food, hospitality, staff, atmosphere, hygiene, attention to detail, quality of service, etc was outstanding. Cannot expect better than this. I wish we had enjoyed the hospitality many years earlier.

Would like to thank Chef Pankaj, Kaustuv , team members diya,deepshikha for their kind generosity and world class hospitality...even house keeping staff was outstanding... The property is beautiful. Huge. Beautifully landscaped. Decent amenities. Service is hit or miss! Reception / front desk is swamped. We tried to reach out to them to help us plan the trip & get rooms close by. No one responded. Tried calling. No response. Toy train in peak season runs fully booked - we were unable to get bookings! Restaurant food is decent. Having traveled to other 5-stars worldwide, this is more like a 4-star spread. Service is quite poor. We stayed for 5 days. On some days, staff was attentive. Other days, we would keep waiting for our order! They have a complimentary kids menu. Ordered khichri when there was no one at the restaurant (i.e. the staff was free). 1 hour later, they said they don't have any order. We needed to leave and got delayed because of it! Games room is well appointed but they don't have a TT ball. It broke and there was no replacement for 3 days. They have a tea factory tour which is complete crap! You go in and see the machines for 5 mins. It's not working! I wish they would have told us so that we would not waste our time. Tea garden trip was well set. Talk to Apil for this. He was fabulous! Also sent for a longer trek. That was very well arranged. No lift for pool or gym area. Some other areas have lift access but it is blocked for some reason. Had requested for 2nd housekeeping one day and they didn't come for it. Said that they had forgotten! Another day they did come for it. Overall, decent stay. Property itself is 5 star but services are 3 star. So eexperienceends up being 3.5 star.

Location is excellent. Climate is good. Activity keeps busy and enjoy the nature keeps very calm. Room is spacious. Makai Bari tea garden is too good. Indoor games side is very lonely, hotel staff is not available over there. The chef is very keen to give appropriate Jain food.

Best place to unwind and relax within the space of phenomenal ambiance. The entire stay and experience was exceptional . The open spaces , and the layout of the property is wow as it just provides comfort beyond measure. Highlights: high tea | the flutist | the blessings and chanting of the monks | the restaurants | bar | music | the mini library | the tea tasting | tour of the tea factory ( all easily accessible and so well paced). The comforts and luxuries of the room especially with the balcony is premium. I had a recovering knee injury - the service was so excellent the team ensure a vehicle was a available for me go the restaurant ( another building on the same property) , and return to the main building as such. This value-added service is certainly being diligent and attentive to guests' needs - going the extra mile. The gifts and token of appreciation is invaluable- thank you so much. The entire team we, (group of 4 adults), interacted with were all just fantastic. Specific and special mentions must go to : Reception and Check-in: DAKSHA, GESHIKA, REEMA . Restaurant: ABIJIT, RISHI, SUVEENA, KUMAR, MEGHNA. Arrival coordinator: WANG. Housekeeping: DIPA. They are certainly true ambassadors to the TAJ brand. Highly recommended.
