Perfection Personified. We have been visiting this hotel for many years at one of it's busiest times. Dartmouth Music Festive. To say our visits have been a resounding success is an understatement. On all levels this hotel delivers. The staff are second to none - a tribute to the brand. The food is top quality served in a lovely environment overlooking the Dart. I am very well travelled - both personally and in business - and this is the only hotel that I simply cannot find any fault with. Why it is not 5*' is beyond me. Well done to all at Dart Marina - see you next May

Just returned from a two night break to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived until we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were greeted with a happy anniversary by the lady on reception, which was a lovely personal touch. Plus, there was a note and bottle of prosecco waiting in our room. Breakfast was top-notch, with plenty of choice for hot and cold options, as you would expect in a 4-star hotel. We ate in the restaurant on one night, and the food was faultless though we both found the wine list a little disappointing and poor value.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this fabulous hotel. It was our 3rd stay there and there will definitely be a 4th (and more). The relaxation starts by arriving from the Brixham road which means reaching the hotel on the floating bridge (Higher ferry). The hotel is right there, on the river, minutes away from the ferry; an incredible location and views, which draw us back each time. The hotel is modern yet very classic and since our last visit has had a beautiful refurbishment; since one of our days was a weather washout, we invested the time relaxing in the lounge, the big windows making the most for us of the views, along with our complimentary bottle of rosé which is part of their current summer offer. The room was beautiful, with a balcony and seating, again so well situated for the views. Every member of staff was so personable, welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff do a fantastic job and our key contact, Rhian, felt like a lifelong friend within minutes of her welcoming us. The breakfast staff were so friendly and efficient, and we noticed were very helpful and supportive to older guests. All the staff, whatever their role are so visible and approachable. One problem, all this makes it so hard to leave at the end of the stay! And of course stunning Dartmouth itself is within 5 minutes walk and there is so much of interest to do. We couldn’t speak more highly of the Dart Marina and Dartmouth as a destination, as well as a base to travel round from. Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing stay to all at the Dart Marina.

I had the pleasure of staying with you Tuesday , ( Guy who was going home on arrival when raining ) , The hotel was as expected for the levy charge per stay , very good as you would expect , rooms well appointed , bar and restaurant great , common areas well furnished and comfortable .What set the Marine apart from many others I’ve stayed in was the friendly , competent , helpful and sense of humor of the staff , from the two ladies front of house at reception, and the lady in the green jacket and the cocktail / head bar lady in the bar and restaurant area and the young staff serving . It makes the difference , see you again soon .

Tried to book afternoon tea today for Sunday 3 May. The receptionist was condescending and indifferent. She told us it is not served after 3pm and the best they could do was 2.30pm. Our preference was 4pm. We left. The last time we visited this hotel was for dinner we had booked as a non resident for a birthday. We were met by an officious maitre de who told us they only served hotel residents and our booking should not have been accepted. We should not be in the hotel and should leave. Seeing our shock, he turned and went in to the restaurant (which was almost empty) and returned saying as our table had been laid, we could, after all dine with them. We should have left, but unsure where else to go nearby we accepted, but the attitude spoilt the evening.

Had a meal in the bistro - superb experience. Staff so friendly - food out of this world, and of course a perfect waterfront setting. We live locally and it is so nice to see the hotel busy at off peak times. 200 word reqirement for trip advisor review a bit of a nuisance! No need to say any more!

Well, we were so looking forward to staying here, but I have to say we were a little disappointed. The room, although having a great view, was absolutely tiny. The furniture felt crammed in with no real room to put your case. The view was great. The service was ok….lots of staff but you still have to go up to the bar to order drinks. We didn’t check to see if we’d had the service charge put on, so can’t comment on that. I will say that breakfast was really nice, but other wise compared to the second place we stayed(which cost less) it didn’t compare favourably, and the service and hotel were average in comparison. Also, gutted it doesn’t have a pool anymore, I don’t think they advertise this clearly enough. I wouldn’t stay here again.
