I had been eyeing this place on Xiaohongshu ever since it opened, and this time, my friend and I spontaneously decided to go. It was everything I hoped for! I absolutely love Jixia Mountain's aesthetic spaces, the personalized butler service, the toiletries, and all the drinks in the minibar – everything met my expectations. It was a wonderful experience ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I'll definitely be back!

I was drawn by the hotel's design and made a special trip to check it out. I booked the 'Elegant Residence Package' and was upgraded to the 'Daijunyi Courtyard' upon check-in. The courtyard was rustic and quiet, with a mini garden, and the interior decor was understated yet elegant. VOSS water was supplied unlimited daily, and I really liked the complimentary amenity kit. Welcome fruits were delivered to the room at 2 PM, and the fruit and nuts varied each day, which was a nice touch and added a sense of surprise. Turndown service was around 6 or 7 PM. At 4 PM, I had afternoon tea at the Yingguang Restaurant. It was a semi-buffet with an à la carte option. The champagne and tea were excellent, and refills were unlimited. The small cakes were a bit bland, and I didn't try the main courses. Afterwards, I went to Phase 1 for a photoshoot. Phase 2 isn't far from Phase 1, but the butler still recommended taking the shuttle. The photographer was very familiar with the best spots and even gave a brief introduction to the hotel. The public areas are indeed beautiful and very well-designed, especially in Phase 1, which offers many picturesque angles and is great for photos. The lounge on the second floor offers views of the Datong ancient city wall. The gym, pool, and children's play area are all in Phase 1. The children's play area offers three craft options before 5 PM. The gym and pool aren't very large, but they're great for photos. Phase 2 consists of independent courtyards, with only one public courtyard and the Yingguang Restaurant, but it's also very photogenic. Phase 2 is relatively quieter and all the buildings are historical. It's definitely worth visiting if you like the Siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) style. The much-anticipated breakfast was also a semi-buffet with à la carte options, and I couldn't resist ordering a whole table of dishes. I highly recommend the 'Dao Xiao Mian' (knife-sliced noodles) and the steak. Although the steak portion was small, it was delicious. The selection of dishes wasn't extensive, but they all tasted good, and the quality of the fruit and ingredients was excellent. The butler team was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, providing thoughtful and attentive service. Every staff member was outstanding. After check-out, they even gave us a souvenir. As my luggage was heavy, they specially arranged a shuttle to take me to Fenglin Pavilion, and the driver even helped load my luggage into the car. Such attentive service made me feel respected and comfortable throughout the entire process, making the price itself seem less important.

This hotel is really great. My friends visited in spring when the courtyard was full of spring blossoms, and now in autumn, the fruits are already on the branches. I stayed in my room alone during a rainy day and it was so comfortable and peaceful. The soundproofing in the room is excellent, and the bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, leading to a perfect night's sleep. Compared to 'Jixia Mountain' in Chongqing, this place is much larger and has more complete facilities. The breakfast, especially compared to hotels I stayed in later, was absolutely amazing – though the variety of fruits could be improved. It would be even more perfect if the common areas weren't sometimes a bit noisy with too many people. The service is excellent, making it a hotel definitely worth revisiting.

I came to Datong for two days specifically to stay at this hotel (after seeing how photogenic it looked online). I booked for two nights, but honestly, one night would have been enough. Even though it opened in 2025, the room facilities aren't well-maintained; many things are a bit run down. Maybe my expectations were too high. It's not great value for money. You could stay one night, take some photos, and that's it. While the location is decent, it doesn't really matter since taxis in Datong can get you anywhere pretty quickly.

This was my first stay at Jixia Mountain, and the reason I came to Datong was specifically for this hotel. Overall, I'm satisfied. The value for money during the National Day holiday was excellent, and the location is superb – it's the best 'ancient city hotel' I've ever stayed in. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and tasted good. The mini-bar was well-stocked, and the service was generally good, with staff making an effort to resolve any issues. I especially want to commend the two older waitstaff in the restaurant; their attitude was exceptional. I suggest the hotel add an activities list and allow guests to join a group chat earlier so they can be informed about customizable itineraries. Going to the grottoes by oneself during a holiday can be quite frustrating. Perhaps also include visits to places like the Yungang Art Museum. This would prevent guests from discovering these options too late.

The hotel's courtyard, with its grotto walls, water features, and antique decor, looks serene and captivating under the lighting. The butler service was also exceptionally attentive, taking care of every detail. This time, I specifically booked a photoshoot with Jinghong Travel Photography to capture some memories. The photographer was excellent at finding the best spots, and even casual shots in the public areas turned out beautifully. I didn't have to worry about posing at all; I had a comfortable stay and got some great photos.

I absolutely loved the hotel's location, its overall design details, and especially the service – it's truly a top-tier service level, not just in China but arguably worldwide. The food quality was excellent, and the ingredients were substantial. My child had a fantastic time participating in the hotel activities, which were very characteristic of Datong, allowing them to deeply experience Datong's culture, which was a rare and wonderful touch. The hotel's facilities were also very comprehensive; the gym and swimming pool met our needs for a family trip. When we returned late to the hotel after visiting the Hanging Temple, the hotel butler even prepared the bathtub with water for us, making it super convenient for our child to quickly take a bath. This was incredibly helpful.

Upon arrival, the front desk was a bit chaotic during check-in, likely due to the large number of people for the National Day holiday. My initial impression score dropped then. However, by the second day, I clearly felt a significant improvement in management and service. I think their response measures were quite good. The hotel environment and location are both great, and the breakfast was also good. My parents are quite traditional, but they really liked this hotel, which shows that the details and quality are very well executed. I will definitely stay here again next time. P.S. The blackout curtains in the room might need some attention.

Jixia Mountain creates an incredible atmosphere with its elegant spatial design. We experienced the 'Jinghong Photography' service, and the photographer was excellent at capturing light and shadows; even the original photos turned out beautifully. The service was attentive and quiet. Our stay was incredibly healing, and I highly recommend it!
