Wan Tu · Yunqi Mountain Villa (Datong Ancient City Branch)

I forgot to take pictures of the room because I was in a hurry. The room felt nice, the second floor was very dry, and the layout was good. I especially liked that the bathroom had a window, making it very well-ventilated. The proprietress and the customer service lady were very warm and generous, providing lots of bottled water, fruit, and snacks!

The B&B has a really lovely environment, with lots of greenery and pebble paths. There are shared electric bikes outside, which makes getting around nearby very convenient. Inside, the bed is spacious, soft, and very clean. The amenities are also comprehensive, including a fridge, so if you're staying for a few days, you can store food and drinks. The landladies are incredibly kind! They gave us breakfast vouchers and recommendations for local eateries. They were always eager to help with any questions we had, and I was genuinely touched by their hospitality. We had such pleasant conversations. I'm already set on booking this B&B again for my next trip to Datong. The B&B is located at the end of a small road, and I truly enjoyed my two-night, three-day stay here. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay longer! Highly, highly recommended!

My daughter chose this guesthouse, located on the north side of Datong Ancient City. The owners are very welcoming, and the hotel is very clean. Thumbs up!

The B&B environment is great and the location is very convenient. It's right in the ancient city, with Daiwangfu (Prince Dai's Mansion) in front, making it close to all the main attractions and popular restaurants. The service was very thoughtful; they offered water and wet wipes when I went out on hot days. The mini-fridge in the room was stocked with drinks, and I even received complimentary fruit upon check-in – the small nectarines were delicious! The showerhead had excellent water flow and pressure, which is really important to me. Since I was traveling alone, the double sinks weren't a necessity, but I can see how convenient they would be for those traveling with a companion. They also provided disposable bath and face towels, which was a nice touch.

The room had almost no smell! (I'm quite sensitive to odors personally), and I found the location excellent – quiet yet close to the action, which I love! Lastly, I have to mention the owner and the front desk staff; their service was so thoughtful. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance! The B&B's location is super convenient and easy to find. You can explore the ancient city for a long time at night. The owner is incredibly thoughtful and enthusiastic! The service is excellent and very attentive, they even sent us a guide to Datong's local cuisine!! I'll definitely come back to Datong for another visit; the experience was great. The B&B is in a great location, not far from all the attractions within the ancient city. The room was clean and tidy, and they even provided snacks. The owner was super friendly, and the knife-cut noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious, haha!

I stumbled upon this guesthouse and it added so many wonderful memories to my Datong trip. The location is super convenient; it’s about a five-minute walk to the main entrance of Daiwangfu. You can also rent an electric scooter by scanning a QR code right outside, which saved us a lot of walking. We stayed for six nights in total, and for the first few days, we practically walked across half the city and had a blast exploring. Overall, the accommodation was very comfortable. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly warm and thoughtful; they even helped us collect and fold our laundry when we couldn’t get to it in time. We had peaches and green grapes every day, and they were delicious! My family all said they’d want to stay here again next time we visit Datong.
