Terrible experience – would not recommend We stayed at Stayokay Texel with our class, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. First of all, the room conditions were awful. The lighting was terrible, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the bedding was dirty. In some rooms, there were ants crawling on the floor. One of the bunk beds had broken safety rails, and the ladders to the upper beds felt unsafe and unstable. The floor was dirty, and the balcony couldn’t be fully opened, which made the room extremely stuffy and hot. The shower was small and dirty, the table in the room was also dirty and not usable, and the wardrobe was inconvenient and poorly maintained. As for the food, while it wasn’t completely terrible, it wasn’t good either. Dinner options were always strange and very boring – there wasn’t much to choose from. The salad was poorly cut and included some parts that were clearly not fresh. Breakfast was also disappointing, with very limited choices. The cheese, for example, was dry and had clearly been sitting out for too long. Overall, this hostel did not meet basic standards of cleanliness or comfort. I would not recommend staying here, especially for groups.

Stayokay Hostel is located in Den Burg. It is a quiet village with many shops and restaurants. Around the hotel there are many green spaces and sports fields. There is a playground and a huge terrace. Modern and large building. Party room available. Spacious and bright rooms, plenty of storage spaces, a toilet and a shower in each room. Showers sometimes too small. Only difficult to get down from the top bunk bed because the steps were too short. Board games available. Pleasant bar. Nice and polite staff. The breakfast was extensive and fresh. Apple juice and orange juice available.

We stayed 3 nights at stayokay Texel, a great experience! Well-kept rooms, entertainment, delicious breakfast buffet and dinner (optional). A nice playground outside. Even in bad weather you can enjoy yourself at the shuffleboard, shottet table, play area for children,... it was great!

Slept very well (good beds). Breakfast was great and super fresh. Only thought the evening staff were too busy smoking and playing pool. When checking out, my husband received a gift from our friends for his birthday (which they had sent) and the staff sang cheerfully 😀 Cozy center less than a 5-minute walk away. In short, a top accommodation for a good price, highly recommended.

Great stay at Stayokay in Texel! The room is very spartan, without frills, but the common areas, very well decorated, and the exterior are extraordinary when you have children: swings, a zip line, board games, books, what a choice! We really appreciated being able to rent the bikes on site and go for a ride. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Lots of families with children like us. We recommend !

Simple and easy stay. Man at reception very unfriendly and unreasonable. I really enjoy being the boss. Immediately emphasize the general terms and conditions upon arrival and will kick you out of the hostel for nuisance at the slightest thing, without having proof of this. This was a pleasant stay. We arrived on a Tuesday and left on Friday morning after breakfast. The weather was good and there was a lot to do for the children in and around the hostel, they loved it! The hostel is centrally located on Texel in the town of Den Burg. Very suitable as a base for various day trips. The accommodation is very clean, the staff is very friendly and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is in the form of a buffet with a lot of choice. The evening meal is also good (price/quality ratio). It's a pity that we were unable to stay one evening. could due to fully booked?? (BBQ) For the rest, nothing but praise

Schoolreis van het Sint-Julien College (België) naar Texel, Stayokay Hostel ligt dicht bij het levende centrum van Den Burg met veel restaurants en winkelstraten. Er is een ruim speelplein met een sportveld. Vriendelijk personeel. Stapelbed onzeker met een te hoge trap onpraktisch voor grote kamers. Het avondmaal was te specifiek voor jongeren en er was te weinig vlees de t****e avond.
