Number One B&B

We visited this weekend and booked parking at the nearby Sainsbury's. Less than a 5 min walk away so very handy. The owners kindly let us leave our luggage with them while we explored. We were given our keys straight away. Our room was on the 1st floor at the front of the building. There was a fridge with fresh milk and mini bar if you wanted to buy anything. I loved the little touches like light up make up mirror and face wipes. Lots of choice of teas and coffee plus biscuits. Toiletries provided along with sewing kit, dressing gowns and ear plugs. The building is literally a minute from the seafront so great location. The bed was very comfortable too. Breakfast was fabulous. Great choice of cereal and fruit. Cooked breakfast choices were immense. Worth visiting for that alone. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that we had to sleep with the windows open as it was warm and the traffic kept waking us up. (Couldn't use earplugs as make me feel uncomfortable and although on a back street the road is a cut through so very busy). Highly recommend however the owners are in the process of selling up so make sure you visit before the end of October so as not to miss out.

We’ve stayed at Number One B and B a total of 12 times since 2018, when we found it online. I think that says more than anything I could express about the warm welcome, the excellent breakfast with locally-sourced, high quality elements, the superb, well-equipped and very comfortable bedroom and the great location, just 2 minutes on foot from the seafront. There, I’ve said it anyway! Thank you Susan and Mick for another lively stay.

Had a great stay here for a couple of nights. Located just off the seafront and very convenient for all local pubs and restaurants. Room was very nice and really well looked after with everything you could want for a short stay. Great choice for breakfast and all cooked to perfection. Would not hesitate to recommend Number One B&B.
