High Mountain Resort – Meili Hotel

The room was clean and relatively quiet, with a direct view of the main peak of the Meili Snow Mountain. The manager, Tashi Dorje, was extremely warm and helpful—assisting with luggage and providing pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. The service was top-notch, and we were fortunate enough to witness the sunrise over the golden peak.

This is definitely the best place to stay at Feilai Temple if you want to see the Meili Snow Mountain! Even though it's an older hotel, everything is well-maintained, and the service is excellent. From the moment I checked in, I received a very warm welcome. The front desk staff and manager even helped upgrade my room. The room was spacious, making it very convenient to view Meili Snow Mountain without having to go to the crowded scenic area. You can even see the 'Golden Sun on the Mountain' (weather permitting) right from the hotel, and stargaze at night – it's truly beautiful. After checking in, you can head to the Feilai Temple observation deck to look around and catch the sunset over the Thirteen Peaks of Meili, which is incredibly cool. There's a snack street right outside the hotel with delicious and affordable food, super convenient! Compared to other overpriced guesthouses, choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision!

Our trip to the snowy mountains was definitely the luckiest day of our National Day holiday. The hotel's lawn (or even the room) offered a great view of Meili Snow Mountain, which was fantastic. As for hygiene, because the entire place was quite dimly lit, it gave an impression of not being very clean. This is something I'd suggest they improve. The service, however, was quite good; both the young lady at the front desk and the gentleman who helped with our luggage were very enthusiastic. Before coming, I saw some reviews about the water temperature, and indeed, it wasn't very hot. If a hotel near a snow mountain could offer plenty of hot water, bright lighting, warm service, and a rich breakfast, I believe it would receive many more positive reviews!

The breakfast is fantastic! You can see the snow-capped mountains right from the restaurant, or head up to the terrace for the exact same view as the Feilai Temple. Oxygen supply is provided. The room looks a bit old, but it features underfloor heating, ******* decor, and is very clean. It's also very quiet.

To celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, we took a self-driving trip to Western Yunnan, hoping to finally see the 'golden mountains in the sunlight' that we missed during our Tibet trip last year. On the third day, we checked into Gaoshan Biezhuang, which has its own observation deck – very convenient! We stayed just before the Mid-Autumn Festival, so it wasn't crowded, and the service was just okay, but it was incredibly quiet. The room came with an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. The breakfast offered a good variety of delicious options, and they even gave us a small gift when we checked out!

The overall experience was excellent. To be able to stay in such conditions at Feilai Temple was great, and the lobby manager upgraded my room for free. The view from the balcony was fantastic; you could see the snow-capped mountains ⛰️ peaks right from the door. The hotel also provided viewing information at all times, which was a nice touch. The only downsides were that the floor was a bit slippery when wearing cloth slippers, and there was no hot water in the sink.

The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, and the hotel's location is absolutely stunning. I could see the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' right from my bed in the morning! The only downside is how dark it gets at night, which is a bit inconvenient. I'd suggest adding lights to the guest room hallways.

The location is truly unbeatable, right above the Feilai Temple viewing platform. It offers panoramic views of the Meili Snow Mountain while being slightly secluded from the crowds – simply perfect. The duty manager, Damon, was incredibly thoughtful; he had already arranged our rooms before we even checked in. As soon as we arrived, he provided us with the exact times for sunrise and sunset, and pointed out the best viewing spots. The room was fully equipped with everything we needed, including floor heating, oxygen supply, and a humidifier. Our room directly faced the entire snow mountain range, truly fulfilling the dream of watching the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' right from our bed. After watching the sunrise, we continued to enjoy the magnificent snow mountain views while having a hearty breakfast. Utterly satisfied, Tashidelek.

Due to the weather, there weren't many tourists during this May Day holiday. To our surprise, the weather gods favored us! It was raining when we arrived the first night, but by the next morning, it had cleared up, and we got to see the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, which I'd been dreaming of! The hotel itself is grand, and the service is excellent. The customer service representative even upgraded our room, so we could enjoy the snowy view of Meili Snow Mountain right from our bed. Definitely a big thumbs-up!
