Deqin Guyu Huating Inn

The hotel is in Upper Yubeng and it offers nice views to the moutains for the sunset and sunrise. However we were dissapointed with the people from the hotel. Since we are not chinese, is more difficult to get information and no one told us the way to go to Yubeng from Xindang was close (the hotel could have send a message informing that..). So, we took a taxi, spent 1 hour trying to find the way and then someone told us it was close. Finally we contact the hotel and they afirmed, they call a taxi and we had to pay a lot (150 for 15 min) to go to Ninong, where it was open. When we arrived, the lady from the hotel didn't received us in the most pleasant way since we didn't speak chinese.

We stayed in Yubeng during a week when access to the village was closed, and we were the only guests at the hotel. It’s located near the trailhead to Ice Lake and not too far from Lower Yubeng and the Sacred Waterfall (the return hike is steep, but anyone coming to this place should be prepared for long and demanding walks!). There was no room service during our stay (like trash collection), but the hosts were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was very tasty and fairly priced — especially considering the logistical challenges of stocking the kitchen. The room is simple but comfortable. The towels are disposable, which is a bit strange at first, but you get used to it (they actually dry you well). The view from the hotel balcony is unbelievable — definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view. We would happily stay there again.

They have really nice and busy restaurant with perfect view to the mountain and lower village! The location also near the way to lower yubeng. The room heater is portable and the bathroom heater is cold with disposable towel.

We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring upper Yubeng and doing some of the hikes. The location is great with some good panoramic views of the mountains. Sunset and sunrise are both amazing from here! The service was good, friendly staff and kind people. The room is fine! We had a heater which helped a lot for the cold nights. We didn't like the disposable towels, such a waste! Also the room wasn't cleaned once in our three nights and we had to keep asking for toilet paper/towels ourselves. Apart from that everything was fine. Good vegetarian food too:)

Great place to stay while hiking. Nice comfortable beds, hot water, electric blankets. Only had disposable towels in my room. Good food in the kitchen also! And hiking poles to borrow (would recommend taking hiking poles to Glacier Lake, not as necessary for the waterfall). GREAT VIEW.
