Elephant & Moon Resort, Mogan Mountains

Traveling during a typhoon, Xiao Yue (the hotel/staff) was still great; they informed us before our trip that it would rain and to be careful on the road. Because we couldn't enjoy the water activities due to the rain, the hotel was very considerate and extended the indoor facilities' hours until 8 PM that night, and the kids' play area until 9:30 PM. Their emergency response was excellent. The only minor issue was that the kids' play area was leaking a bit while we were playing~ The room was very clean, and the surrounding scenery was lovely. Overall, the stay was quite human-centered. Even though it rained, the hotel felt very warm. When checking out, they drove us directly to the parking lot, which was incredibly convenient. We didn't have to go back to the front desk to return the key card or walk up and down in the rain. I really commend their service!

The service was mediocre, the room conditions were very poor, and the management lacked a friendly touch. The activities offered were also very ordinary, and breakfast was terrible. Overall, it was really just average and not good value for money.

A great place, I'll definitely come back again. They have meeting facilities, dining options, a farm, a rose garden, and even a stream trekking area. It's also perfect for relaxation.

It's hot in summer, but the photos turned out great! The pool is outdoors, so yes, there are leaves and bugs, but that's normal. When I checked in, the air conditioning was already on in the room, which was nice and cool. The room's cleanliness was excellent. A big shout out to Xiao Yue for being so helpful and resolving any issues immediately. I'll definitely come back when the weather cools down.

I really love these cabins; the subtle woody scent is very therapeutic. I was especially impressed with their service. Xiaoyue at the front desk was very enthusiastic and basically granted every request. Highly recommended!

Overall, a great experience; the kids are already asking to come back! They especially loved the swimming pool at the Western restaurant, and the pizza was pretty good too. After living in concrete city buildings for so long, staying in a wooden house was a unique experience, and it was exceptionally quiet at night. The only minor drawbacks were that some of the outdoor facilities are starting to show weathering and cracking. Also, some dishes at the Chinese restaurant, possibly reheated frozen items, were cold in parts. The fried peanuts, I suspect, were refried and had lost their crispness.

⚠️ Avoid this hotel! For a room costing over a thousand yuan, the facilities are worse than a two-hundred-yuan guesthouse. The walls had noticeable stains, and we were woken up by a sudden power outage in the middle of the night due to the heat. The shower water temperature was inconsistent. The advertised kids' club, bicycles, and craft workshops all come with extra charges. The paper cups for water in the lobby were tiny, which looked really bad. The shuttle bus staff showed impatience and disdain towards a slow-moving, sick person in our group – we shouldn't have to put up with such attitudes when paying for a holiday. Breakfast had limited choices and mediocre quality, and the staff even got our room number wrong. Only the natural bamboo forest environment and the Chinese restaurant were acceptable, and the porter who helped with luggage was patient. Overall, the services and amenities don't justify the price; it's a hotel in name only, with an experience even worse than a guesthouse. I won't be returning, it's the worst hotel I've stayed at in Huzhou.

If you don't want to just stay home on the weekend but are looking for a different way to relax, Xiangyue Lake is an absolute gem. It's not just about the cabins; it's a huge outdoor sports paradise. My friends and I primarily came for the outdoor activities, and the experience was fantastic! We did archery and played frisbee on the large lawn at Fei Camp, and in the afternoon, we went kayaking and rode a swan boat on the lake. The breeze on the lake in the evening was incredibly refreshing. There's even a professional horse riding facility in the park, with new equipment and a large arena, giving us a real 'Wild West' experience. I heard there are also dedicated forest trails for hiking, but we ran out of time this trip. I'll save that for next time!
