Callow Hall was just the tonic I needed. It’s a hidden gem , beautiful boutique hotel. Now hire was a lovely extra and we had the intention to ride but we just enjoyed the hotel instead. Maybe next time. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend for couples or families , there are tree houses that you can stay in that my kids would love ,but I think my husband and I will keep this for ourselves . Looking forward to returning soon.

Gorgeous rooms and great facilities. We stayed in the main hotel building for one night then moved to one of the hives for the second. We really appreciated the little touches like the balloons and card to celebrate a birthday and the little biscuits and milk jars in the room. Your staff really made the difference to our experience. Two members really looked after us, a kind waitress who I unfortunately cannot remember her name and a helpful man I think who is called Buk..? He went above and beyond for us helping out with our hive. The glass room restaurant/bar and the cosy fire place room are both lovely to dine and drink at :)

We stayed in one of the large treehouses for 2 nights in April as a base for our wedding at Grangefields, Ashbourne. The treehouse is so beautifully designed and genuinely feels like a tardis - we couldn't believe the space inside! The whole place is just stunning, blubells were aplenty in the grounds and it was the perfect start and end to our wedding. The treehouse had 2 bedrooms so we could stay in one room and our two best women the night before. There was ample room for preperations - hair, makeup, photographers & videographers in the morning. We also ate in the Garden Room restaurant and the food was beautiful. We do think that for the price of the rooms at this hotel complimentary breakfast should be a given. We managed to convince the team to include ours but they still maintained that the two best women must pay despite them staying in the treehouse also and our total bill being circa 1k for 2 nights, an evening meal at the restaurant, drinks and massages. To include breakfast for all staying guests would have been welcome. We had massages and facials at the Coach House which were the best we've had and we would definitely return for that! Service was good - the young, blonde haired girl on reception (Lillian?! We can't remember) who had only recently started was absolutely fantastic and so personable. The chap who drives the buggies is also very, very nice and was always happy to give us a lift up. All in all a fantastic stay and we will be back.

We opted for a traditional room in the main house. It was stylish and the bed was superb. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed throughout with local staff sharing their knowledge of the area. The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District National Park and we especially liked our visit to Haddon Hall. Dinner and breakfast in the modern garden room were delicious using high quality ingredients. The fish dishes were all perfect. The pork belly was tasty. The freshly squeezed juice and eggs benedict will set you up for the day. Help with luggage and transport around the grounds is available from the porters with their buggies. As the spa building was under rennovation during our stay we will have to return.

Went for Sunday Lunch with friends. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Had a pre lunch drink in one of the lounge areas.. very pleasant with a roaring fire. Garden Room very stylish but was surprised to find we were the only diners! Limited Sunday Lunch menu.. choice of beef or Turkey with roasties and 2 veg. No Yorkshire Pud with the Turkey and no Cranberry sauce! Potatoes slightly rubbery and for me the greens were tough and salty. Not value for money at £35. Desserts were all £16 which was a bit over the top so we shared. Reasonable white wine at £33. Coffees taken in lounge area by which time a few more diners had arrived… there were more staff than diners at one point! A pleasant enough experience in a lovely environment but pricey .

We stayed three nights, it was supposed to be a special treat for us, and at £430+ per night, perhaps we expected too much. We were imaging something akin to The Pig, where we've stayed, and loved, previously. Our hive was a real let down, dirty and dusty and clearly hadn't been hoovered for weeks, with dog snot and baby hands prints all over the patio windows. We requested it be rectified after we checked in, waited around for 1.5hrs, assistant General manager checked it, which took another 30 minutes and he said it was now clean, we returned, I handed him a pile of hair out of the shower and showed him the toe nail on the bathroom floor/front of the toilet/clothes tag still there. We drove to the local pub to wait for it to be cleaned again. As a result we missed our first sessions in the spa/sound therapy. We were given a bottle of fizz at this point and they took off the cost of the first day at the spa off at checkout. No one made contact with us for the remainder of our 3 day stay to check we were OK. In fact we felt pretty awkward for the rest of the stay. The wooded area and path are unkempt, overgrown and with lots of weeds. There's also a lack of anywhere comfortable to sit out at your accommodation. The woman working on reception in the spa was lovely and welcoming. The area is great for exploring the peaks, and the pub down the road serves delicious food with a friendly smile!

Recently stayed here for one night with family as we were passing through the area. The drive up is quaint. Small little car park and a little walk up to the main building. This place is not very wheelchair friendly from what I could see. There are steps into the main reception with two double doors, they just watch you come in, instead of offering help opening and welcoming you in. The check in was alright. The room was absolutely tiny. I had initially requested a twin bed, they said no and tried to get me to upgrade to what I believe was a treetop room. I declined as it was only for one night and would have been ridiculously expensive since one night in a small room was already nearing £200. The rate was very expensive for what it was. It included no breakfast either. The restaurant food was OK, not great. The waitresses are delightful . Very friendly however, the man who i think was the bar tender when we wanted to speak about the menu, he was sent over....and he really didn't give off he wanted to be there and we were inconveniencing him by asking him to do his job. The walk arpund the hives wasn't anything special, but probably stunning inside.

We honestly cannot recommend Dana and Wildhive Callow Hall highly enough. Our wedding was quite literally the best day of our lives. From the very beginning and all the way through to the wedding itself, Dana’s attention to detail, calm professionalism and sheer ability to keep everything running beautifully were incredible. We still do not quite know how she does it all, but she is an absolute powerhouse. What made Dana so exceptional was the way she brought our vision to life while making the whole process feel effortless. She was always there with thoughtful advice when we needed it, but never in a way that felt pushy. No ask ever felt too big, and no detail was ever too small to matter. She made us feel so reassured throughout the whole process, and everything came together even more beautifully than we could have imagined. The staff on the day were also wonderful and played such a huge part in making everything feel so special. They were warm, thoughtful and so generous in the way they looked after everyone. They created such a lovely atmosphere for us and our guests, and really helped make the whole day feel relaxed, special and unforgettable. We also really appreciated how well the wedding package was structured, which made the planning process feel so much easier than we expected. Honestly, we still cannot quite believe the value for money for everything that was included. The whole experience felt elegant, seamless and far beyond what we could have imagined. Wildhive Callow Hall was already a very special place to us because we got engaged there, but after our wedding it will always mean even more. It exceeded every hope we had for the day, and we are so grateful to Dana and the whole team for giving us the most perfect wedding we could have wished for.

Stayed for a last minute nights break. What a lovely find! stayed in a hive with my husband and dog & had a wonderful time. we were driven to our hive in a golf cart which was a little hairy but fun. the hives are tucked into the trees with a gorgeous outlook from the balcony. I was surprised at how close together they are but didn’t feel at all overlooked. the balcony has a lockable gate so safe for the dog to wander about. we had room service pizzas which were delivered quickly & were very tasty. we had a couple of cocktails too which were very drinkable! the hive was a little smaller than i thought it would be but it had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. super dog friendly, my dog got a great bed, bowls and a toy which he was obsessed with. really nice touch and much appreciated. Had a great time and would highly recommend.
