Hotel Vittorio

We chose Desenzano as a good base to discover the lake and it is a good size and attractive. This hotel is perfectly positioned on the lakefront and 2 minutes from the ferries. Just round the corner is the lovely inner harbour with bars perfect for aperitifs. The room on the third floor with a balcony is worth the premium for the view to sit out and enjoy. Simple room but fine. The breakfast buffet is very good. All the staff were delightful and helpful. Really recommend the Alla Stella restaurant a few minutes away - do book.

Just leaving today and had to leave a review it was so enjoyable! The hotel is perfect! Location is amazing overlooking the lake surrounded by beautiful restaurants and shops. Ferry is just a few minutes walk away. Staff are so friendly and helpful rooms are spotless and breakfast is perfect so much to choose from.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Vittorio. First of all, the staff is really amazing and helpful with every question (and we had many because this was our first time in this area). The hotel is very nice, updated and modern. We appreciated the updates to the lobby (very attractive), beds (very comfortable), pillows and bathrooms (which happened to have the same Italian tile that I recently put in my bathroom so they have very good taste!). The location was perfect and just a few minute walk to the ferry. The parking is about a 10 minute walk away in a covered parking garage but they allow you to park in front of the hotel to drop off your luggage and check in, which was much appreciated. They offer the same service when checking out. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. They offered everything you could possibly think of (meats (including bacon!), cheeses, eggs, homemade croissants, pastries and breakfast cakes, fresh fruit) and things you would never think of (such as fresh bruschetta). It was truly an abundant display and everything was fresh and delicious. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops just outside your door so it was extremely convenient and easy to get around. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel has a wonderful position right on the front of the lake. We had a room with a terrace which would have been lovely if the weather had been fine. The hotel has no car parking on site but for €11 euros a day you have access to a paid public underground car park which is about a 5 minute walk away. The reception staff are very helpful. There is a lift to rooms. The rooms are basic. Ours had a large bed which was fairly hard with flat pillows. There are no tea and coffee making facilities but there is a fridge and a bottle of water was provided on our first day. There was no drawer space. The wardrobe is adequate but bring your own hangers as few are provided. There were two small bedside tables but nothing with drawers in. There were only two spare power points in the room. The en suite was very small and some basic toiletries are provided. The towels are plentiful and lovely and fluffy. Our shower cubicle was tiny but the shower itself was powerful and hot. Breakfast is a buffet. Hot streaky bacon and eggs are provided together with avocado, olives, mini sandwiches, mini stuffed croissants, quiches, meats, cheese, cakes, bread, fruit and cereals. Tea and coffee are brought to the table.

Another fabulous stay at this lovely hotel. Such a great location, really helpful staff and rooms that are just what you need. We had a lake view balcony room and it’s well worth the extra. Breakfast is a pretty big selection of mainly cold food, but always plentiful and tasty. Already planning our fifth visit.

Stayed at Hotel Vittorio for the first time in August and cannot sing its praises enough. Staff were absolutely amazing, their friendliness and service was impeccable and hotel bright, clean and comfortable. Best breakfast with good variety and catered for gluten free and vegan guests. Will definitely be staying here again
