Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

9.6/10
Excellent

The hotel's overall decor exudes luxury and grandeur, with a spacious and elegant lobby, and tasteful furnishings. The staff are polite and attentive, with impeccable guest etiquette, creating a truly atmospheric stay. Unfortunately, the hotel's hardware facilities show clear signs of aging. The room interiors and appliances bear the marks of time, and the bathroom fixtures feel quite dated, with noticeable wear and tear in some areas. This significantly detracts from the comfort of the stay, creating a stark contrast between its high-end positioning and the outdated facilities. The location is convenient for travel, and the service quality remains excellent. If the interior equipment were renovated and upgraded, the overall experience would be much improved.

First of all, I have to say the hotel's service was really great. I placed an order with some requests late at night, and the hotel concierge emailed me back the very next morning – very efficient! Upon arrival, the concierge even upgraded our room type, and the sea view was absolutely stunning. The next day, they even prepared a birthday surprise for my wife, which was very thoughtful. The hotel's location is super convenient, perfect for shopping, dining, and strolling around. Overall, the staff were very warm and professional, always greeting us enthusiastically. A Korean gentleman gave us a detailed tour and introduction to the hotel. All in all, it was a great experience. This will be my go-to hotel in Hong Kong from now on!

🏨✨ Stylish Boutique Stay in Wan Chai 🇭🇰 The Fleming is one of my favorite boutique hotels in Hong Kong. It has a very distinctive design inspired by Hong Kong’s iconic Star Ferry ⛴️🇭🇰, giving the hotel plenty of character without feeling overly trendy. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and thoughtfully designed 🛏️, with a warm, slightly retro Hong Kong atmosphere. The Wan Chai location is also excellent 📍 — surrounded by great restaurants 🥢, bars 🍸 and local spots, with the MTR 🚇 within easy reach. What I like most is that it feels much more personal than staying at a large international hotel. It captures a little of that old Hong Kong charm while still feeling modern and comfortable. 🌃❤️ ⭐️ 4.6/5 — Stylish, intimate and full of Hong Kong character. 🇭🇰✨

The hotel's location is absolutely superb, right in the heart of Central. Below, you'll find Landmark, offering a plethora of restaurants and shopping options. The hotel itself boasts several Michelin-starred restaurants. The service is, frankly, flawless and incredibly thoughtful; they deliver desserts and fruit daily. Breakfast is also incredibly delicious 😋, especially the coffee which is made with a very professional pour-over kettle. The Japanese breakfast is also fantastic. I truly love this hotel!

Had a really nice 4-night stay at Mondrian Hong Kong! 😊 The location is definitely one of the highlights. There are lots of shops, restaurants and food options nearby, and even late at night, you can still find street food around, which was super convenient. The room was really nice and beautifully designed. We loved the modern and stylish feel of it, and it was also comfortable for our stay. There was just one small incident where we heard some weird cracking/knocking sounds coming from the windows early one morning. We let the staff know about it, and they were very apologetic and immediately offered to change our room. Really appreciated how quickly and professionally they handled it. All the staff we met were very polite, friendly and helpful, and the service was great throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our time at Mondrian Hong Kong. Would definitely consider staying here again when we’re back in Hong Kong! ❤️

We had a good stay, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed extremely comfortable, with a beautiful vie. We didn’t have any issues with the noise, it was very quiet, although there was high humidity in the room (which had a bit of a musty smell). The location isn’t ideal as it is rather far from most touristic spots, but it is close to public transportation points (be ready to spend a lot commuting), and there aren’t really any 24/7 stores around. One aspect which we didn’t really like was being asked to pay a substantial fee for any potential damages, a guarantee, which we weren’t made aware of at the time of the booking.

I brought my little princess to Hong Kong Disneyland and specifically chose the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, which is positioned as a high-end option within the park. We had originally booked an Executive Club Room, but the hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to an Executive Club Suite, which truly maximized our stay and exceeded all expectations. The suite boasts a classic Victorian vintage palace style, with a separate living room and bedroom, offering spacious and airy accommodations. The room directly faces a stunning sea view, with the hotel garden and a greenery maze visible outside the window, providing an open and healing vista. The room was impeccably clean and tidy, featuring vintage patterned carpets and exquisitely carved soft furnishings with meticulous details. The mini-bar was well-equipped with a coffee machine, tea set, and other amenities. The Disney fairytale ambiance permeated every corner, and my child was incredibly excited the moment we entered the room. The fatigue from a day of playing in the park was completely alleviated and relaxed upon returning to the room. The exclusive dining at the Executive Club Restaurant was a major highlight of our stay. It offered a rich and diverse selection of Chinese and Western delicacies throughout the day, including smoked salmon, cold cuts, cheese platters, stews, various baked pastries, fresh fruits, and desserts – everything imaginable. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were spot-on, perfectly catering to our itinerary for breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, and extra meals. The staff throughout our stay were incredibly warm and proactive, attentively caring for the needs of the children. The exclusive Executive Club privileges were comprehensive, including character interactions and parent-child activities, allowing for an immersive experience of Disney's fairytale atmosphere. The hotel's public areas were very stylish, with high ceilings and magnificent crystal chandeliers, elegant and refined corridors, and a well-arranged seaside garden with lush greenery, making for a very pleasant stroll and view. From the unbeatable sea-view room and exquisite dining quality to the meticulous and heartwarming exclusive service, every aspect was impeccable, making our vacation happiness complete.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times, and it remains one of my favorite places in Hong Kong. I love this neighborhood, and this room type offers the most beautiful view. The hotel is just a short walk from the waterfront, about 20 minutes on foot to Central, with plenty of cafés and convenient public transportation nearby. The rooms are very spacious, especially compared to most hotels in Hong Kong. They come with a coffee machine and even a bathtub—with a wonderful view as well! I would especially like to mention the staff. It feels as if Janet remembers everything I told her during my very first stay—about me and all of my preferences. She is truly an amazing person. I’m incredibly grateful to both Janet and Cecilia for their kindness, attentiveness, and exceptional service. They make you feel not like a guest, but like a member of the family. I will definitely be back!

Nice looking, nice amenities (except desk, more about which below), great location. Downsides 1: terrible sound insulation from above (noticeable during day and at 1am) and a ventilation unit (that cannot be switched off) that sounds like water running through pipes and is constant (really bothered me on first night so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper) 2. The desk is adorable but the lid fell on my laptop screen and broke it because it doesn’t stay up and the lid should be deeper to prevent this (poor design), so now it’s going to cost me 4000HKD to fix because my insurance won’t cover it, which is really really annoying 3. Expect the staff to phone you at 1 minute past checkout time to remind you (not very chill)

Great location, and I was pleased with the width of the beds in the twin room. The room size was quite generous for this area. The service attitude was also good. The included breakfast suited our travel plans perfectly; my child loves milk, so we packed a cup every day, which was a thoughtful touch. Although the hotel pool isn't very large, my child enjoyed it, though it was a shame it closed at 7:30 PM every night. When we first checked in, the room did have an odor, but the hotel promptly changed our room and even brought over an air purifier/dehumidifier, which ran 24/7, completely eliminating the smell. Overall, the value for money was quite good.
