Fairfield Inn & Suites Detroit Lakes

It was a very comfortable stay and the rooms look recently updated. The pool is a little small but the kids still had fun swimming.

The good….great location, breakfast staff excellent….The bad…..road between hotel and lake under construction so no simple access to lake….should have been advised of this work. Hotel charged me extra cost when leaving hotel, reception staff unable to explain charge so advised me to email operations manager….i did this got no reply or acknowledge from the manager but just a refund back to my credit card after 3 days …..not great customer service.

This is the hotel I stay at whenever I go to Detroit Lakes. Close proximity to the beach, park, restaurants. The continental breakfast is good.

My bed linens had debris and fresh stains because they didnt change the sheets before my stay. I didnt notice until the end of my stay after i pulled back covers to make sure i left nothing behind.The tub was so slippery making me slip. Upon alerting the staff they said non slip tub mats are available on request! How would I know to ask until I got in the shower?! I showed manager the dirty bed and staff profusely apologized and offered a free snack. I would have preferred a free future stay at any U.S. Marriott/Fairfield. But hey they got their $$ and that's all that matters right? I will not stay at a Marriott or partner hotel again....I have choices!!!!

The rooms are always excellent, staff greets you a smile and make you feel welcome. We have stayed in every room type and our favorite is the queen or king suite. It is very relaxing after a full day of activities. We are never disappointed with our stay every time.

This hotel was brand new, so it's no surprise that it's super clean. But we can say that it was very quiet inside and out. At first, it seemed like a strange location, but it was very nice by the river trail for walking or biking. Breakfast was good, hot, and had a few choices. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! The girl who we checked In and out with were awesome. Made us feel like family.

Lots of construction going on right now but thats out of their control, lots of kids running around also out if the staffs control better parenting to he respectful of others would be nice. Overall beautiful property great breakfast and nice bars and dining nearby within walking distance

Good location. Construction didn't interfere with access but was tight in the parking lot do to sharing of it with the neighboring affected businesses. The clerks were very helpful.
