"If you, like me, were drawn in by the main image of beanbags on the beach, don’t be. Whilst this is a bar owned by the hotel, you don’t get access unless you buy drinks at the bar. As a mother with two young kids, this didn’t happen and we didn’t end up eating breakfast lounging on the beanbags with a view of the sea as I envisaged, but rather in the, not quite so fun, basic restaurant area behind the bar. Breakfast wasn’t great either. The room was basic but clean and quite spacious and the hotel is right next to the beach. Unlike with other beachside hotels we stayed in, loungers were not included in the price but were extra (€10/day). We ended up leaving a day early and didn’t receive a refund for that night (which would have been a nice gesture but to be fair, was not part of the cancellation agreement)."

"We had a totally great experience staying at Hotel Potami and will definitely be staying there again. The hotel itself is absolutely excellent, beautiful, and really reached the standards we were expecting. Grace, the manageress, is absolutely amazing, very helpful, and cheerful. She is doing a brilliant job managing the hotel, and I feel like I've made a new friend in her—she easily deserves a 5 out of 5 stars! Being a brand-new hotel, I completely understand that there are still a few adjustments to be made. The rooftop restaurant/bar wasn't functional yet during our stay, and there just needs to be a bit of improvement regarding the bathroom showers, as the water tends to flow out onto the floor. Additionally, while the rest of the staff was wonderful, the receptionist didn't come across as very friendly and could use a bit more warmth with guests. Minor growing pains aside, it is a wonderful place. I give the hotel itself a solid 4.8 out of 5 stars (or 4/5 overall), and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Himara!"

"The hotel and the surroundings are beautiful. Pool, landscaping and view from the balcony, all very nice. I would go back to this hotel for sure. We had two rooms and found them to be good size with plenty of storage . We communicated mostly with Ina at reception and Oligerti at the restaurant and they both were nice and courteous. We ate breakfast and lunch at the restaurant but went went out for dinner in the village, quick 10-15 minute walk for more choices and to explore the area a bit more. Potami beach has clear water, something that the south is known for. Beach area was calm and did not feel crowded, music from the beach bars nearby was not loud. Water is deep right away, something to consider if you go with small kids or elderly. Walk to beach is easy or you can go on the golf carts, which were always around."
