1 Hotel Melbourne

The staff were extremely warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage and showing us the way to our room. The river-facing room was not noisy at all and very comfortable. Having direct drinking water available was super convenient. The only minor issue was that the bed was a bit too soft. Also, the hotel initially charged us for some Mini Bar items that we hadn't actually used, but after making a call, they refunded us promptly and hassle-free. A truly wonderful experience overall!

I don't understand why this hotel is so hyped on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform). It's right next to the highway, so it's incredibly noisy. White guests seem to check in directly, but for Asian guests, it's always a wait until 3 PM or an offer to pay for an upgrade. I can understand the 3 PM check-in time, but why the differential treatment? Most importantly, can they please clean the toilet properly after housekeeping? Also, everyone should be aware that they actually process the deposit, which feels a bit cheap, like a way to overcharge.

This is a truly beautiful hotel. Being away from the traditional city center gives it a serene vibe, and the environment is incredibly comfortable. The Yarra River is right outside, perfect for a city walk, and you can easily walk to the duty-free shops across the river. There's a tram stop just 500m away, making it convenient to get to the city center around the train station. Most importantly, the hotel is very new, and all the facilities are comprehensive and comfortable. The on-site coffee bar also serves good food; I ordered from there two days in a row. It's a great hotel for a vacation.

We checked in quite late, but the front desk staff was incredibly patient and helpful with our check-in process. Their attitude was very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel very happy to be staying there.

This hotel is very well-designed with a consistent overall aesthetic. It feels warm and homey, located right next to Melbourne's Docklands, and you can see the Ferris wheel from the lobby.

Don't book here unless you get a river view room. For this price, the noise control is terrible. There's a city expressway right below, so you hear trains, trams, trucks, and even loud custom cars all day. If you're a light sleeper, you'll be up all night. The front desk's solution was to offer earplugs. When it's busy, the breakfast menu changes to a more basic, uninspired one. Even bottled water in the room costs extra, and the tap water quality is poor. 'Eco-friendly' here seems more like a way to charge extra than an actual advanced concept.

The hotel itself is impeccable, except for the cleanliness – it was very dirty, with dust everywhere. I specifically informed the cleaning staff, but there was still dust visible everywhere! The restaurant on the first floor was absolutely delicious, and the service staff were warm and friendly!
