Construction enthusiasts, this hotel is for you! The construction site across the street works non-stop for over 20 hours a day at high intensity. You'll get to hear the beautiful melody of "Please mind the reversing vehicle" well past midnight. Until about 2 AM, the rhythmic, powerful white noise will be your constant companion. If you've had enough of the construction show and are finally ready to sleep, no worries, the hotel will generously provide two earplugs as their sincerest compensation. 😪

My husband and I came to Dongguan for a weekend getaway again, and once again chose the InterContinental Dongguan. This time, our check-in and the pre-arranged items from Nature were handled very smoothly. Highly recommend!

The stay was excellent. The room was very clean, and the facilities were new and well-maintained. The soundproofing was also good. The staff were gentle and attentive; special thanks to Sunny, Steven, and Tiffany for their meticulous and thoughtful service, helping me with all my requests. The public areas were clean and grand, and the breakfast quality was great. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing stay, definitely worth coming back to.

The location is fantastic, surrounded by Hongfu Road and Minying Guomao commercial areas, both popular spots for young people. The hotel is new, so the facilities are naturally new too. What I loved most was being able to see the dazzling night lights from my room – so vibrant! The buffet dinner, however, was just okay; it lacked a bit of atmosphere. And for anyone who loves swimming, the pool was quite disappointing.

The overall experience at InterContinental Dongguan was superb! The location is fantastic, directly connected to the Guomao shopping mall, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The hotel's decor incorporates the Lingnan Keyuan garden design style, giving it a sophisticated and grand feel. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering excellent views. The bathroom fixtures are high-quality, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. The service is attentive and thoughtful; the front desk staff are welcoming, and the turndown service is very diligently executed. The breakfast selection is rich, with the Cantonese roasted goose rice noodles being a distinct highlight. The heated swimming pool and gym facilities are also comprehensive. It's suitable for both business trips and weekend getaways. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dongguan.

Extremely satisfied, couldn't find a single fault! From check-in to the lobby bar, I ordered lamb chops, which were much better than I expected! Paired with a glass of red wine, it was a relaxing moment during my business trip. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices; I guess I chose to stay at the Intercontinental just for the food!

The hotel subtly incorporates Lingnan aesthetics into its details; the wood carvings and fabric soft furnishings are understated yet elegant, without over-the-top opulence. The ambiance is calm and gentle. The guest room has soft lighting, with a city view through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent, providing peaceful tranquility even in a bustling area. The toiletries have a light, sophisticated scent, and soaking in the bathtub in the evening was a great way to unwind. Mia and Emily provided impeccable service, always available when needed. The breakfast selection was refined and not overwhelming, with authentic local dim sum and smooth, freshly ground coffee. The high-floor pool was quiet and uncrowded, and the gym equipment was well-maintained. Its proximity to the Guomao business district makes it very convenient. Overall, it's understated luxury, perfect for a quiet retreat or a short trip. It's peaceful and restorative, definitely worth a return visit.
