I arrived at the hotel from Keningau to Kota Kinabalu around 11:30 PM while feeling unwell due to a severe allergy. The lobby is on the first floor, which was not mentioned clearly on Trip.com. This was quite inconvenient, especially in my condition.
Trip.com also did not state that a deposit was required. I assumed none was needed, but during check-in, the staff insisted on it. I explained that I was sick and only had QR payment, not cash. They showed no flexibility or understanding, even though it was almost midnight and no ATM would be accessible at that hour. Thankfully, another guest helped me by accepting a transfer and giving me cash.
When we entered the room, the air conditioner remote provided didn’t work. My husband had to return to the lobby, and only then did a staff member accompany him to retrieve the correct remote from the laundry area. On top of that, the bedsheet cover had black stains on it, as if it had not been properly cleaned.
Throughout the night, it was hard to sleep due to noisy guests, and the staff did nothing to control the situation or ensure a peaceful environment. Overall, the experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to others, especially those looking for basic comfort and support.
