Had a short but wonderful time at Denbies after a very long stressful train journey down for a work event. I had to push my table back twice and ended up missing dinner and the team really looked after me. Stacy sorted a cheeseboard out for me and all other staff were lovely. The Denbies wines were beautiful to try and I will definitely be trying more on my next visit. The room was also beautiful and the bed comfy although the pillows a little firm for me. Overall a great, short but sweet experience and I hope I get a chance to stay here again!

Flori Alfie and the restaurant girls were so welcoming and helpful. I was there for 4/5 nights and there was no issue with room service and flexing to clean my room. Food was great, immediate walks outside and I used the meeting facilities for my meeting. Really surprised at the welcome Flori rocks and should be rewarded.

I stayed here with my mum a week ago for 1 night after arriving back at Gatwick airport from a long haul flight. The venue is so beautiful and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and the views were stunning. We booked a twin room which was nice, but quite basic for the price. Only 4 hangers, no ironing board and few amenities, just a hand wash and shower wash. We ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food and wine was amazing! And again the views were stunning. They provided a map containing walking routes, so this was a must the next morning to view the area a bit more. Overall I would definitely return to this hotel as the venue is beautiful and all the staff were excellent. Although a little on the expensive side for the room, the venue, staff and food made it.

We came here to celebrate a special occasion and had the wine pairing lunch. This included the tasting of 4 different wines. We enjoyed the Surrey Gold and a Demi-sec. The sparkling and red were underwhelming. Sadly weren’t asked for our feedback on each as we were the only guests in the restaurant on a Friday lunchtime and we spent the majority of our time alone. Served alongside our wine tasters was a board of a good sized piece of cheddar, a blue, rolled venison pieces and some smoked chicken. This came with some lovely warm olive bread sticks which were plentiful. The ground floor views from the conservatory were lovely of the vineyards. Our waitress Sophie had only been in her job for a few weeks, so her knowledge was minimal of the wines. We were given a sheet to read up on, although it never mentioned the grape variety for each. It would have been more fun to have had a Sommelier or similar talking us through. Our last pairing was with a couple of truffles each. We were told ‘let us know if you require a top up for them’ before our waitress disappeared again and we had to call over a new waiter ‘Ben’ who had just arrived. Then we saw Sophie briefly wander around again. No one came over to see if we had enjoyed our experience at the end. So we got up to leave and collect my coat that had been locked away. We stood and waited for 15 minutes at reception in front of Ben who was on a call to a potential guest. He refused to acknowledge us or come away from the phone briefly, so in the end we left without my coat and took off to the Deli for a visit. I was freezing cold outside as only had a dress on. My husband then returned to find Sophie and asked for my coat and for their names. This whole experience was shocking and we left feeling extremely angry and disappointed, hence writing such a review (which I don’t take lightly). We do not recommend and would look to have the eating/drinking experience at Denbies Vineyard estate, which Sophie confirmed was nothing to do with them. In hindsight we definitely booked the wrong place for lunch.

I booked the Denbies hotel/wine weekend for my husband's birthday and he was so looking forward to it. After booking the hotel and being assured everything was confirmed, I waited for the confirmation which never arrived, I then rang the hotel again and ask them to send the confirmation which they finally did. Almost a month an half later, the hotel rang me to tell me that they were cancelling my booking as they were double booked and suggested to book a local hotel outside of the vineyard with a much lower rating and it would have meant that I would have to get taxies etc to do any wine tasting etc,. They promised to send me details but of course I never received anything from them. I have booked alot of hotels over the years but never saw such chaos. It meant that the birthday surprise for my husband was ruined and it was too late and too expensive to book anything else similar. I am so disappointed with the experience of Denbies.

We used this as a base to attend the visit the AIG Ladies Golf Open event. We booked for 4 nights almost a year in advance so were somewhat surprised when we were allocated a disability access room. This meant that particularly in the bathroom things were set too low for us. We were also surprised that at this price point the room did not have a safe. On arrival, the car parking facilities were not obvious and initially it looked as if all the spots outside the hotel were full. We had a lovely evening on our first night sitting in the garden looking over the vineyard sipping a bottle of Surrey Gold, and the breakfast each day was delicious. On what was to be our last night we had been advised earlier in the day that there was going to be some plumbing maintenance done which was scheduled to be finished at 3:30pm. This was not a concern as we were not expecting to return from the golf until after that time. However, on our return at 4:30pm looking forward to showers to remove the sun cream and freshen up for the evening, the plumbing work had not been completed and there was no water at all anywhere in the hotel. The estimated completion time kept going back and back, and at 7pm the hotel staff admitted they did not know when it would be completed. The staff had given us a complimentary drink, but at this point we decided to ask for a refund for the final night's stay and set off for home. We arrived home around 1am, but at least we could finally have a shower. At the point of writing this review we have had no additional communication of any sort from the hotel which has surprised us.
