Regency Hotel

"Excellent quality hotel, really friendly staff, super clean rooms, and exceptional breakfast. I’ve stayed several times for work over the past few months and every stay has been flawless. I’ve been in several different rooms over the months and they are always spotless, beds / pillows are super comfortable, and if you’re front facing, a fantastic view of the sea. As it is an older hotel, the windows do let in a little sound, but nothing wrong with falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing into the promenade. Location is excellent right at the top end of the promenade with many many bars and shops wirhin walking distance. Special mention to the restaurant owner who makes the best scrambled eggs on the planet (and the rest of the breakfast is excellent too)!"

"A well situated b and b close to the shops and railway. It takes about 20 min to walk to the shops and 35 min to/from the port. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortably but a bit small if your use to a king/superking. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to your needs/preferences each morning and there was always a warm welcome. There are a lot of stairs to your room but there is a small lift that goes to all floors - handy."

Halvard Hotel

Halvard Hotel

"Hotel was in a good location, 2 mins walk away from the main shopping promenade. Service was great from reception, housekeeping and breakfast crew. Only thing is the rooms are a bit dated, and could probably do with a refresh."

The Hydro Hotel

The Hydro Hotel

"I booked this hotel for next August through their own website and was sent a confirmation and paid my £125 deposit. They sent me a confirmation email. Then a few hours later sent me a cancellation email saying they had put the wrong prices on their website! Not happy and still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. Beware of booking this hotel!"

Bed and Blueberry Two Bed Suite for 2,3, 4 People Own Facilities

"One again, we've enjoyed a wonderful stay at Bed and Blueberry. This was our ninth or tenth stay with Cindy and that should say it all - she is just the perfect host, friendly and welcoming. As always, the accommodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The layout of the house has been changed a little since our last visit and can now be arranged as two 5-bed family apartments, one on each floor - a really worthwhile improvement. There's a small, but well-equipped kitchen on each floor, which we found completely up to our needs. The house is located in a quiet side street, shielded from noise and traffic, but just a minute or two on foot from the promenade and the tram and bus stops. We couldn't wish for a nicer place to stay and are already making plans for next year!"

Amadeus Apartments Hotels in Douglas

"This is our second time staying at the Amadeus Apartments. Lovely quiet place and central to Douglas amenities. There is disc street parking and there was always space. The apartments were clean and well equipped. There was even all the basics and fresh milk in the fridge. The hosts were easy to contact and responded very quickly. They really do want you to enjoy your stay. I would recommend these apartments but if you are not very mobile request the ground floor apartment as you will struggle with the stairs."

"I and my daughter stayed at one of these apartments. I must say that we had a lovely time staying by the sea, looking at the sea whilst having our lunches and dinners. Absolutely immaculate apartment and very spacious! I highly recommend stay here if you are visiting the island. I want to mention about my exceptional situation. We left our luggage since we locked out and we had ferry in 15 minutes. I left with my daughter and luckily I had my laptop bag and necessary things to travel. I had my suitcases one of which was left open with important documents like passports in it. I rang Mr. Nigel Fogg and explained the situation. Nigel went an extra mile and help me with everything that I could expect and beyond. He not only personally visited the apartment, he took photos of all my luggage and sent me and kept everything in safe place. What more, he also put the cheese into the fridge that we bought on Island for my daughter so that it doesn't mould. He also measured my luggage, assisted me with the cheaper options to ship it back to our home in England. I feel indebted for the help that Nigel has offered to me and warm hospitality. I am absolutely happy with the overall experience. Thank you specially to Nigel !"

Regency Hotel ★★★★
"We stayed here a couple days while exploring the Isle of Man. The hotel is simply charming. It is on the older side and located in a quiet area not too far from the Electric Train Station and the Horse and Carriage rides. It does have a lift but is small and narrow. The last time I saw anything like it was around 50 years ago in the apartment building my grandma lived in. Our room was comfortable. There were 2 good size windows that opened, since it did not have air conditioning. Off to the side was a nook area where there was a counter that could be used as a desk with a desk chair. A mini refrigerator was in the cabinet under the TV. The beds were comfortable, and it had a large bathroom that looked like it was recently remodeled. There is a restaurant there where we had breakfast one morning with a limited menu. In the evening we had dinner there. The restaurant name was Experience Restaurant and reservations are required. We ordered the chicken with dark mushroom sauce that was fantastic. There are some restaurants nearby but many of them, along with the shopping, are a distance away. You can walk it, but it will take some time, but it was not overwhelming. We purchased the Go Card which provided free transportation that could be used for the railroad, horse and carriage and buses. The bus stop was located outside the hotel, which was very convenient. The hotel did have a nice lobby with comfortable chairs and couches as well."

"This hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation with a good range of breakfast options - juice, yoghurt, cereals, tea/coffee, toast and fried breakfast (including veggie). Enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere - the proprietor Mrs Hayman was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately the Chinese restaurant at the hotel was closed during my stay but this hotel is great value for money and is highly recommended."

Kings' House ★★★★
"I visited kings house with a friend during the Manx Grand Prix and couldn’t have been happier with our hotel stay. The family that own the hotel are so friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived (which was around midnight due to us getting the late ferry over from Liverpool). The location of the hotel is great and it’s conveniently located next to a great pub. I would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending here to everyone. Thanks for a wonderful stay"

"Worst hotel room ever !!  The room is not clean at all.  Smell so bad Worst of all, the blanket had a bad armpit smell.  Too strong to use blanket at night.  Value of money is not worth at all as the hotel rate is very expensive but customer’s experience is not impressive at all."
