This hotel is truly amazing and I would go back again and again. Firstly, the check in was smooth, our room was clean, big and beautiful. Breakfast was included and every morning was a different Jamaican breakfast option. The GeeJam staff is exceptional, every single one of them. They made the experience so much better. The minibar was stocked and available to us at no additional cost. We looked forward to breakfast every morning and by the time we got our room at 10am it was already cleaned and ready for us. We felt like we were the only ones there even though other guests were on property just to give you an idea of how the hotel gives you this sense of seclusion. We have great views of the sea and also had a fabulous time by the GeeJam beach where we able snorkel and kayak at no additional cost. Lunch and dinner options were affordable and we got to tour the studios that have seems some of the world’s greatest musicians. Trust me 100/10! I WILL be back GeeJam. I absolutely loved my stay at geejam. From the arrival to your nice clean room. It was amazing. Reception was on point, one call or text to guest services and they are right at your door. The staff was kind, polite and very attentive. The food was superb and the alcohol was to my liking. I give them a 10/10 will definitely be back. Also the tour to the studio was amazing and learned a lot and saw where the big stars did their thing!

Geejam is off the beaten track in beautiful Portland, Jamaica. As soon as the gates open you know you have arrived at a special place! Wonderful rooms, breathtaking views, great food, friendly staff & the sound of mellow reggae music. You won't want to leave this quiet retreat. We were lucky to have a studio tour with the owner Steve and that was special. There are lots of steps to reach the lovely section of the beach so probably not for the less able bodied. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble but a special mention to Ricardo at the Bush Bar. He is an asset to the hotel and wouldn't be out of place in a 5 star establishment in London or New York. One love to all the team & we will be back ❤️

Geejam is a special place. Overlooking the beautiful Portland coastline, it’s set amongst the sub-tropical environment of SanSan close to Frenchman’s cove. From the generous and friendly welcome to our fond farewell a couple of weeks later we had the absolute best time. It’s so easy to switch off, relax and unwind in the cool and informal restaurant and bar - where we had some incredible cocktails served by the expert Brian and the team (the ginger margs were a revelation!). Delicious food and fun and friendly service from the whole team. Our room was so incredibly cool! Huge room and bathroom with a serene balcony to admire the sea view. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in! Probably the best was joining Steve’s visit to the music studios on site and hearing his fascinating stories of the world famous artists who have come to record at Geejam, and the connections to the Bond 007 franchise. One the most beautiful yet cool places we’ve been - come, you won’t be sorry.

I had the most magical experience celebrating my 60th birthday with three generations of family and friends at Geejam! Thankfully hurricane Melissa spared this lush, beautiful sanctuary, that provided the backdrop for my milestone event. Staff member Rueyella, was instrumental in helping me execute my vision, for excursions and party planning details, months in advance! We danced the night away at the beautiful panorama, at the top of the hill. The sunshine showed up for each planned excursion, just when we needed it every, single, time! The Bushbar was the gathering spot for laughs and great conversations! A highlight was a tour of the recording studio, led by owner Steve, who was a warm friendly presence throughout our stay. Geejam embodied why Portie, with its beautifully lush, rustic landscape, warm people and energized vibes, is my favorite parish in Jamaica!

This was my second time staying at Geejam. I returned because my first stay was memorable and exceptional. I stayed in a Rumba room with an expansive view of the Caribbean Sea, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. The room was beautiful and spacious with a large shower and lux soaker tub. The room had a large balcony where I admired the vibrant colours of the sky at sunset and enjoyed the hummingbirds zipping by. The staff were kind, attentive and friendly, greeting them was a highlight, everyday. The food was delicious with diverse options to choose from, and they catered to my dietary restrictions which I appreciated. The fried dumplings and Blue Mountain coffee are a must. There are an abundance of beaches near by, including the Geejam beach where I spent some time, it was peaceful and relaxing. The team helped to coordinate spa services for me as well as excursions and transportation which provided me with an opportunity to experience some of Jamaica’s most beautiful locations. On this trip, I chose to do the Rio Grande rafting and during the previous visit I went to Frenchman’s Cove, Boston beach and I did a hike to Nanny Falls. I also visited Reach falls, located in a Montane Forest in the John Crow Mountain range, to hike, swim in the natural pools and to learn about the biodiversity of the area. All of these excursions were within a reasonable distance. Travelling through many small villages and cities on the way, I took in the scenery, peace and periodic resonance of booming bass. One of the highlights of my stay was participating in a behind the scenes tour of the studio, with other guests, facilitated by Steve. Steve was great and he shared about their creative process, history and story. My wish was for a quiet getaway to relax and enjoy Jamaica- Geejam did not disappoint. Happy travels.
