"Lovely part of the country, great pool and sauna. Bathroom had black mold. Shower had boiling hot or cold, nothing in between. Soap bottle was too solid to squeeze anything out and when we asked for other toiletries were told there’s a shop up the road, we can buy some there. Had a cooked breakfast first morning, never again, settled for coco pops thereafter. Had evening meal second night, never again. Wife spent the rest of the night bringing up her fish and chips. Squashed a chip and oil trickled out. We were assured they would get back to us within 24 hours, 5 days later still waiting."

The Winnock Hotel

"Just had a very enjoyable 2 night stay here. Our room was clean, comfortable, & tastefully decorated, with a good shower in the bathroom. Some inconsiderate guests had a door banging competition at 6am, but otherwise a quiet room. Breakfast is freshly cooked & plentiful, & dinner on both evenings was very good, with both set menu & Bar menu very reasonably priced. Service was sometimes a bit slow, but at this time of year, young new recruits are being trained. A wee bit of patience goes a long way! We would certainly come back here next time We're in Drymen."

"We received a warm welcome on arrival by James who owns this impressive bed and breakfast with his wife Svetlana. The house is immaculate, spotlessly clean. Our bedroom is a good size with a very big wardrobe, comfortable bed, tv and tea and coffee making facility and a toilet and walk in shower. We enjoyed our two nights here and the location is a good base to explore Loch Lomond. On our two evening we relaxed in the very comfortable lounge overlooking a sizeable pond with one night enjoying watching England beat the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semi finals (we weren't sure about going to the local pub to watch!!!. Our two continental breakfasts provided by Svetlana were of very high standard with more than enough food to set us up for the day. We will most certainly return to Glenlaird and recommend this b & b which is excellent value for money."

"Kilromanaock Manse is a countryside hidden gem. We loved meeting the hosts who were gracious. They managed to squeeze us in a very busy local pub where we had a delicious farm to table dinner. Great experience, great conversation, great food and a memorable time!"

"Lovely rooms and comfortable beds. The showers were a little tempremental in temperature but overall a great place to stay. Excellent dinner (my chicken, ham and leek pie was delicious) and breakfast and a good location, right in the middle of the village and easy to get to."

"Really popular restaurant with a varied menu and good wine list; booking is essential (and you may still be waiting a long time for table and then for meal!). Not sure how much of the building is as old as the licence. Excellent food and popularity is an asset (as long as you did not expect quick service and an early night)."
