Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai Reviews

I lost  toiletries bag in this hotel in Nov 2024 then I checked with hotel concierge the bag was found. So I booked the same hotel in Nov 2025 and hope to collect the bag. But the concierge manager told me that the bag has no longer be found while they will disposal after 3 months. I’m very disappointed as they should remind me before if they need to dispose it with my consent.  Another reason, the hotel is carrying out the renovation at the front entrance and interior upgrades. Lot of dusts when walk to the hotel. My opinion is the hotel should make announcement for the travellers option if they like or dislike to stay.  With above mentioned, I don’t recommend travelers to stay in this hotel until they complete the renovation.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Stayed for 4 nights. The breakfast in tasty. The room is big, clean and spacious. The hotel location is situated within walking distance of Ibn Battuta Metro station and the Ibn Battuta Mall is situated right at the doorstep of the hotel. Definitely love the location and price we pay. Highly recommend hotel to stay in.

What a lovely hotel ! Classic Middle Eastern architecture and an amazing atrium. Staff are incredibly friendly and service was excellent. Breakfast was extremely varied and will suit the needs of all tastes. Our hosts during breakfast, Susan, Keith and Hamza went of their way to make our stay a truly memorable one. Super comfy beds and pillows too. Quite far out from Dubai central but its only a 5 minute walk from the Metro station and literally outside IBN Battuta Mall. Well worth the stay !

Good hotel for business trip, good service, good price. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Dubai.

I spent one night at 5* Hotel, Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate, Dubai, formerly a Movenpick hotel. It is located in Jabal Ali area, next to the iconic Ibn Battuta Mall, and about 15-20 minutes drive to Dubai Marina. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The rooms are large and beautifully designed. The beds are large and comfortable. It boasts a large pool that overlooks Dubai Marina. There are plenty of comfy sunbeds in the pool area. There is a large gym, too. The staff are very accommodating and helpful, especially the guys at the pool, Ashen (lifegurad) and Mr Hasun. However, the Sri Lankan lady at the reception was a bit tough with us when I asked why there was no welcome drink. Just when her colleague was about to offer us the welcome drink, she whispered something to him which made him change his mind, and he offered water instead. I have been to many countries and was treated much better at the reception. I was really embarrassed!!! We enjoyed breakfast at Mistral restaurant and food was copious and varied. Nevertheless, the egg benedict was below expectations and there was no bacon. I would definitely return to Oaks hotel and recommend it to my friends.
