Globalstay Holiday Homes - Sarai Apartments

We are with Globalstay for 3 years already and really like the place. Good quality service, spacious appartments, family friendly, almost empty beach, gym and grocery store make it a perfect place for our family. The area around is really nice: long distance walk path and few restaurants nearby. Atlantis and a monorail station is only 5 min walk.9

Perfect apartment for living - has everything you need for a long stay. Loved the easy access to the waterfront for a walk — something not common in all Dubai accommodations. The pool was warm and clean, and having direct beach access was a delightful perk. Special thanks to Jon for his help on various issues.

Apartment was very good, it was very safe and nice place to stay I went to a nearby hotel called hotel Retreat inside was a Turkish restaurant called BAIT AL NAKHLA. The food there is amazing anyone who is staying in the apartment I highly advise going there, they’re even do delivery

Having stayed close to Burj Khalifa a few times we decided to try the Palm for a change. Reading the mixed reviews on Sarai we were curious to experience the place. Firstly, the apartment was very nice. Exactly as advertised with nice furniture and a small balcony overlooking the pool. The pool area is nice - not like a 5 star hotel but very relaxing and big enough for the facility. And let’s face it - if you wanted 5 star hotel you wouldn’t be here - you are here because you want a bargain - right? The beach just had nets installed to protect against jellyfish. We swam in the warm waters everyday but had one encounter with a jellyfish that stung one of our teenage boys. The life guard was quick to pad it with a cotton ball soaked in white vinegar and advised us to seek shade and air conditioning for 20-30 minutes. That did the trick and he could swim again - albeit in the pool. It is October and apparently jellyfish season. We were at the Aquaventure too and the lifeguard asked us not to swim as he had seen a jellyfish there. I have to say the nets seem not to be installed totally correct. They get overflowed by water and lack a foot of height to really keep the jellies out. The supermarket at the entry is open 24/7 and has all your basic needs covered (and even some that aren’t basic!). Check in and out was easy, quick and friendly. We never had problems getting an Uber or a taxi despite the Sarai being a bit off the beaten track. It is mainly families staying here and it is relatively quiet with no parties allowed. So if you can live with a bit of noise from kids playing and the occasional dog barking it is a great place for the price.

We were there for ten days and the apartment was huge. We had a kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, water kettle, cutlery and so on. The living room had a big table, a sofa and a TV, plus a window and a balcony with a view of the skyline of Ain Dubai (tallest ferris wheel in the world) and of the Address Beach Resort (tallest swimming pool in the world). There were three big bedrooms and a smaller one. All the big bedrooms had a bathroom and there was even one in the living room. Everything was super clean. The whole apartment was literally on the private beach of the complex, which was never crowded. Instead of a key we had a code to open the door of our apartment, while downstairs there was 24h security. To get to the apartment there was an elevator. There was even a free gym downstairs for people who cannot stay away from sport even on holidays!

Most unreliable, non-responsive, we attempted to contact them saveral times via phone and email. If you signed up and the payment has been taken mostly they make all excuses not to refund. Unlike US/Canada. The service is terrible.

The apartment was nice however, quite outdated furniture, stained sofas etc and not enough crockery or cups for the whole group. The service afterwards was appalling. Firstly, they increased the deposit needed from 1000 AED to 2000 AED without any notification, despite posters next to the desk stating only 1000 AED was needed. I wasn’t too fussed about paying it because I knew our group wouldn’t cause any damage. However, after returning home i realised I was only refunded 1/3 of the deposit, obviously shocked at being charged 1300 AED I contacted the company to ask for the details. They provided me with an invoice of charges, I asked to see evidence because I was unaware we had caused damage but they have since ignored my emails and refuse to provide any evidence or photos of the damage we apparently caused. So all I can say is if you’ve already booked this place definitely pay the deposit on your credit card, I’ll be attempting to get the money back through them (probably won’t happen) but also be mindful of staying here at all. I wouldn’t recommend after being ignored and unfairly charged!
