Marlin Hotel Stephens Green Reviews

I was disappointed with my stay at the Marlin Hotel. The room was extremely small, with no space to move comfortably. The windows cannot be opened, which made the atmosphere stuffy and uncomfortable. Cleanliness was also an issue – I found hair on the floor, which made the room feel poorly maintained. For the price, I expected higher standards of comfort and hygiene. The central location is convenient, but overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

A modern-designed hotel. The room was tiny, and the bed was positioned against the back wall, forcing us to awkwardly climb in and out from the foot. Highly impractical and uncomfortable. One day, our bed was completely skipped by housekeeping. We returned at 9 PM, having left at 7 AM, only to find it unmade and had to make it ourselves. We were very frustrated. They offered a complimentary drink at the bar to make up for it, but we didn't end up taking them up on the offer. Bottom line: Poor value for money.

The room was very comfortable and peaceful. The hotel's facilities were immaculate, which made for a fantastic stay. The best part is its incredibly convenient location for all the main attractions, especially its close proximity to the theater.

The bed took up most of the room, but the space was compact, clean, and served its purpose well. I must say, the bed was impressively large. It could probably fit three adults comfortably! 😂 The bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. I'm not sure if items like a toothbrush were available on request, as I had my own and didn’t need to ask. The location is excellent, very close to St. Stephen’s Green and in a safe area. The little café kiosk in the lobby serves the best hot chocolate! I did experience some internet issues from nighttime until the next morning, but the person in charge addressed my concerns, so I can’t complain too much. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering cereals, a small selection of pastries, and hot items like eggs, hash browns, sausages, mushrooms, and toast. There were also fruits and yoghurt available and also hot drinks and orange juice.Personally, I found it good value for €20 as it likely would’ve cost more to go out and order just a pastry and a hot drink elsewhere outside the hotel. Overall, it was a quirky and good hotel. What you see is what you get, so before booking, do your own research.

I stayed at the Marlin Hotel Stephens Green for a few nights and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect — easy to walk pretty much everywhere, and close to shops, transport, and places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything felt modern and well maintained. Service was great too — staff were friendly and quick to help with anything I needed. Overall, an excellent stay. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Dublin!

Very conveniently located hotel in the city centre with plenty of food options. Room was small but it was expected. Didn’t allow early check in.

Upon check-in, I arranged for a late check-out until 4 PM and had already completed the payment by card. On my check-out day, while I was relaxing in my room, a housekeeper came and told me, 'It's time to leave, or you need to request a late check-out.' When I informed her that I had already arranged and paid for it, she then asked, 'Until what time?' The hotel seriously needs to improve its internal communication.

I stayed for 5 nights. Room cleaning was quite delayed throughout my stay, possibly due to it being peak season. I was a bit taken aback when staff didn't arrive to clean until after 6 PM. For the price, the overall experience felt quite disappointing. The buffet breakfast was delicious, but I would have appreciated more vegetable options. As for amenities, I couldn't use the TV as there were no instructions provided. On a positive note, the hotel was conveniently located.

Fantastic location to busy area Stayed there twice on the same ctrip. I had a little problem with the second checkin. Hotel sent an apology note with free drinks. Nice touch. Breakfast is okay for one day. It's so close to restaurants, just walk out to eat instead.

Seamless check-in via self-check in kiosk. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and modern environment. Good size of room and bathroom. Excellent location, right opposite of Stephens green shopping mall. We returned and picked up rental car from multi storey carpark in the mall, very convenient for us to access from this hotel. Walking distance to eateries and happening shopping streets.

Poles last minute. Hotel is very nice, room is bijou but it is very comfortable. Staff are really great, very helpful and cheerful in a genuine way. Will definitely stay again. Might upgrade to the larger room next time.

Very modern hotel and it’s just next to St Stephens Green shopping mall. Very convenient to get around Dublin as everything is in walking distance (30 mins walk to most attractions)

Happy with the Marlin hotel - staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Room is fine - there is no fridge.
