This was a 10th Wedding Anniversary getaway that my wife and I had planned a while ago. It was also a very rare occasion where we were kid free for one night. Safe to say we embraced the experience as best we could. We purchased the Spa and one night stay package, which included one treatment and full access to the spa, a two-course evening meal, a breakfast and one night in the hotel. Overall verdict for everything - fantastic! We arrived at the hotel around 11:45 (Spa access started at 12:00). The receptionist was lovely - very welcoming and she made us feel right at home. We were allowed an early check-in and told that we could walk down to the Spa in our robes. We were given lovely bags filled with robes, slippers and towels - all great quality. The Spa - out of this world. Again, lovely staff that couldn’t have been more professional. The facilities were the best I’ve witnessed (and I’ve been to a few Spas). There were an array of saunas and steam rooms, genuinely about nine or ten. There was also a relaxation pool, chill out areas (including water beds) and a very nicely heated jacuzzi. We ordered food and drinks which were also good. No faults whatsoever - words don’t do it justice to be honest. The full-body massage was an appreciated added bonus! The hotel - grand and luxurious. Our room was decent - by no means five-star but it had all the mod cons and most importantly, a comfortable bed. The jacuzzi with a TV was amazing haha. This was all topped off with a bottle of Champagne and card from the hotel staff - what a lovely gesture. Again, nothing of note to complain about. Treated like royalty. The meals - the evening meal was superb. I opted for Pigs in Blankets with a Honey and Mustard dip and then a Mushroom Tagliatelle for my main. I made space for a couple of pints as well. Again, as per the running theme, the staff brought over two complimentary glasses of Champagne to congratulate us! So generous. The breakfast was okay but the experience wasn’t quite the same as the previous night. The waitress ignored us and we weren’t offered any hot drinks - it wasn’t overly busy either. The breakfast items were a bit naff as well, mainly because it was a buffet and the food wasn’t overly fresh. That aside, it was one minor negative over two days of complete luxury and positivity! We’re already planning our next visit. Very much a hidden gem which until this year, we’ve completely overlooked. An amazing place!

The Hotel was disappointing. Room very dated and bed was so uncomfortable. Curtains were 2 inches too short for the window and let in too much light. Price for a glass of Rose wine was £13.50. The staff were all lovely, which was the best thing about the Hotel, especially Joshua in the bar. Breakfast wasn't great, very dried up and not much choice. The spa was the only saving grace as it was amazing although you still had to pay £45 each for 2 hour access even if you stay in the Hotel. We asked about the Domes outside and were told you have to contact another company and pay a charge, but as they closed at 5pm on a Saturday, it wasn't possible. I had a lovely Aroma flex treatment from Pauline in the spa.

Booked for daughter’s 21st/graduation trip. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated so lovely. The whole experience was flawless, all the staff were amazing, especially not sure of names. Aileen at reception, and Justin at the bar, although everyone went above and beyond, recommend trying the ice bath, 2 course lunch, food was amazing, can’t wait to come back when your terrace is open. Our spa treatments were amazing too, I had massage, daughter had deluxe facial. Only mistake I made was not staying over. We left feeling so relaxed and grateful to spend some time together. Both agreed we won’t go anywhere else for spa day. You can see why they were voted best spa. You have amazing staff which makes all the difference. can’t wait to see you again soon. Thank you all for such lovely experience

We stayed for nights with a tour group on a half board basis. Reception area is bright and inviting and check in was really efficient. The lounge area is also bright and inviting and the new soa is lovely also. Our room was very tired and in need of a complete update. This said it was very clean and was serviced daily. We had both breakfast and evening meal each day. The dining room staff was very helpful and attentive. A four course evening meal was provided with a choice of 3 mains and 3 desserts. The main courses were generally tasty but could benefit from increasing the portion of veg on the plate! All in all I think the staff is the hotels crowning glory

The staff are professional, well trained, friendly, pay attention to detail. The spa treatments were superb. The beds are so comfy, and the general atmosphere is relaxed, nothing is too much trouble, but subtle, not in your face. Food was delicious, well presented.

We visited the SPA for an overnight Midweek Wellness SPA. The SPA is amazing. It’s the best I’ve visited. Facilitated are second to none and the decor is beautiful. Staff were so lovely, friendly and obliging. We took the full body massage treatment which was fab. Had such a relaxing time. The SPA was quiet during our visit so we saw and experienced it at its best, even has water beds to relax on!! Hotel room was comfortable and clean. The food was lovely and again the staff were friendly and obliging. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back for another relaxing break.

My friend and I visited the Spa at the Cairndale. Our experience from start to finish was exceptional. From our meeting and greeting to be shown down to the spa and experiencing the facilities on offer were relaxing and wonderful. Every detail of the Spa was calming and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. To finish our Flower Remedy treatment was just wonderful. I had never had a treatment which started with a reflexology massage on your feet, which was amazing. I have to thank Christina my therapist for the magical experience. To follow we rested in the relaxation room. Would I go again, most definitely .

Our large group of cyclists had an amazing three night stay at the Cairndale. We received a warm welcome and storage for our bikes was no problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was great value for money and the food was superb. We'll definitely return!
