The location was great, and the staff were friendly. Everything I needed was there, and I didn't experience any inconvenience. There were also plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby.

The place was very dated, it was a quiet area . It was within walking distance to the downtown though.

Great location facility very basic

I stayed at the Law Courts Hotel recently, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The building is very old and hasn’t had much renovation. The bathroom still has those separate hot and cold taps, which are inconvenient, and the carpet looked quite worn and not very clean—it definitely feels like the place could use some updating. That said, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of Dunedin, so it’s super convenient for getting around. It’s also very affordable, which is a big plus if you’re on a budget. Just keep in mind that being so central means it can be noisy; Saturday night, in particular, was hard to sleep through with all the street noise. Overall, if you’re after a budget-friendly place in a great location and don’t mind the quirks of an older hotel, it’s worth considering. But if you’re looking for something more modern and comfortable, you might want to look elsewhere.

Quite a long wait for check in. The hotel could benefit from being repainted and the broken bathroom window in my room replaced. All other aspects were adequate.

Good location and affordability. Single room is tiny but restaurant and bar are quite nice. Just 100meters to railway station and octogenarian square.50 meters to Woolworth supermarket. Good stay!!!

A historic hotel with a bar below and a hotel above. The room facilities are outdated.

This hotel is full of history! Next to the pitifully small reception desk are reports and pictures of the Queen of England waving to the public on the hotel balcony. But the room facilities really don't even meet the standards of a guest house. If you have a little requirement for hygiene and environment, try to avoid this one. In addition, its location is very good. It is a few steps away from the famous Dunedin Railway Station. You can basically walk to the basic attractions by navigation. There is also a good Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel. The parking lot is small, with a total of 12 parking spaces…

He will come over if you need anything. The corridor and stairwell are full of old-fashioned style and very romantic. The room is not big, with old-fashioned doors and windows. There is free parking. It is in the city center, Bajiao Street, the old train station, and the oldest church are all within a 5-minute walk. There are two different national chain supermarkets, Countdown and New World, within a 10-minute walk.
