Our family of four was given a larger room and a smaller twin-bed room, which was convenient for us to spend time together while also saving on costs. I must commend the front desk staff who assisted us that day – Xiao Gao, Xiao Wu, and Xiao Li – for their thoughtful arrangements. There was also a young man who helped us with our luggage and brought us water, providing excellent service. The room was great, especially the Chinese-style sofa, which was perfect for sitting and using our phones or eating.

The room was nice, and the breakfast tasted good. What really stood out was how clean everything was, especially the bedding which was quite comfortable. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and the location was generally quiet.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at along the entire Qinghai-Gansu loop, and I highly recommend the Hexi Corridor Hotel. The rooms were clean and well-lit, and the hot water was consistent. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to visit the night market. The service was meticulous and thoughtful, really helping to ease the fatigue from our self-driving trip. It offers great value for money and is definitely a worthwhile choice when visiting Dunhuang.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were initially assigned to an incorrect, smaller room. While they did eventually move us to the correct room, there was a noticeable delay. The room itself was quite spacious, and the breakfast was not as expected. We had attempted to reserve the airport pick-up service by calling the hotel, but unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we opted for a taxi to reach the hotel. However, they did provide a very pleasant ride back to the airport when we departed, and this particular service alone made the stay worthwhile.

The room was really spacious, and the facilities were great. The breakfast selection was also very rich. A special thank you to the three front desk staff members: Xiao Gao, Xiao Rong, and Xiao Ya. My child had a fever and needed to rest, so they made an exception and allowed us to check in early, even offering us complimentary breakfast. Their kindness made us feel so warm, even though we were far from home. We really appreciate it!

The hotel amenities are great, especially the self-service laundry room. It was super convenient to wash our clothes right after coming back from Mingsha Mountain, and they were dry by the next morning. The surrounding area is lovely too; we enjoyed evening strolls along the Danghe River after dinner. Special thanks to Xiao Shi at the front desk and the other ladies – they were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We happened to stay during the Dragon Boat Festival, and they even prepared beautiful bracelets for all the guests, which was a delightful surprise!

Absolutely loved this hotel! The service was excellent, and the breakfast offered a great variety. The room was spacious, and we even got a free upgrade. The location is fantastic – just cross the Dunhuang Mother River in front, and you'll find all sorts of restaurants with good prices. They have a laundry room, making it incredible value for money. Plus, with the desert heat, having unlimited bottled water was such a thoughtful and considerate touch. A truly caring hotel!

I checked in quite late, and the front desk staff was very cold. The air conditioning unit outside was incredibly noisy all night; it was too late to do anything about it, so I just put up with it. The room I was given had absolutely no river view. The next morning, even though breakfast still had 15 minutes left, there was hardly anything to eat. I told the staff, but nothing was replenished by the time we left. When checking out, I complained to the front desk, and a male manager, seeing that we were polite, was completely dismissive throughout and didn't even offer an apology! Absolutely fuming.

The facilities aren't brand new but are decent. It's located right by the Danghe River, offering nice views, especially at night. Parking is convenient and free, and it's close to everything. The hotel provides apricot peel water in the fridge daily, which is a thoughtful touch. The bed is just right in terms of firmness, and the breakfast is plentiful with good coffee. There's a distinct, fragrant herbal scent in the hallway, like something is constantly being heated – it's quite unique.

The location is really good. It's not too far from Ming Sha Shan that you can take a cab there before sunrise to catch it there. It's between 5-10 minutes walk to the Dunhuang book store which you can do some painting ( many young people do it). The hotel amenities, while 4-5 stars, feels more 3.5 - 4.0. it's quite sizeable and has a large breakfast area, seems poplar with big tour groups. Within walking distance you have an eatery that serves the most tender and delicious stew lamb (手抓羊肉).

My positive impression of this hotel started with the complimentary airport pick-up service, and after having dinner here, I decided to give it a glowing review on the platform. Regarding the pick-up: Master Liang was very friendly and punctual. The car was exceptionally clean, and perhaps because it was the off-season, it was just our family of three. He patiently answered all our strange questions about Dunhuang on the way from the airport to the hotel and even recommended many restaurants (though we didn't end up trying any). Regarding the accommodation: Xiao Gao, Xiao Shi, and Xiao Qin at the front desk were incredibly helpful. The tatami in our room offered direct views of the Dang River, which was a huge bonus for the room. The only slight oddity was that the shower gel and shampoo were placed on the vanity, not directly in the shower stall. Regarding the food: The breakfast on the second floor was very ordinary, but the restaurant on the first floor offered incredible value for money! For our family, the dinner we had at the Hexi Corridor Hotel restaurant was the most satisfying meal of our entire Northwest trip!!! Although the price per dish was a few yuan more expensive than restaurants outside, the portion sizes and flavors made every penny worth it. I highly recommend the fried eggs with sand onion and the stir-fried lamb with scallions. The aunties working as servers in the restaurant were all very professional. I recommend that independent travelers staying at the hotel, who are tired from sightseeing, can just come back to the hotel and eat directly. Our family only found out on the second day that the hotel restaurant served dinner, and we regret not knowing sooner – if we had known, we would have eaten at the hotel for two consecutive days! 🤤 Oh, and the ginseng fruit sold at the small supermarket next to the hotel is delicious… don't miss it, everyone…

Excellent value for money! The breakfast was incredibly rich and diverse, truly the best hotel breakfast I've had recently. The hotel is also conveniently located right across the street from Danghe River, which offers a beautiful view. If my schedule wasn't so tight, I would have loved to just relax and unwind at the hotel.

The hotel upgraded me to a suite which was very spacious and had a great view of the Dang River at night. The breakfast was quite good and varied, and the facilities and cleanliness were excellent. It's also very close to the shopping areas and night market in the city center. The only downside is that on the 6th floor, you can hear the music from the restaurant upstairs during lunch and dinner. Other than that, everything was great.
