Lakes Inn at Dunvilla

I took my elderly mom back to her home town of Pelican Rapids for Memorial weekend. Our stay at Dunvilla was absolutely wonderful. The room was charming and spotless. The bath towels were large and SOFT. The mattress was perfect. Everyone we encountered working there was friendly and polite. The setting was picturesque. We were on the main floor facing a renovated barn. There were chairs set up outside for a wedding ceremony and we were able to watch the bridal party get their pictures taken from our room. Very sweet ~ my mom loved it. I wondered if it was going to be loud that evening but we didn’t hear a peep. Can’t wait to return again next year! Or I hope sooner!

Clean comfortable rooms. wonderful staff very accommodating. Pleasent welcoming atmosphere. Highly Recommend. Enjoyed the Sitting area with the fireplace, we woke up to pleasant smiles and a very nice breakfast. As a Truck Driver I have drove by Lakes Inn for a few years and always wanted to take my wife and I'm glad I finally did we will be back.

This is one of the nicest, cleanest hotels that I have stayed at in a very long time. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The room was soundproof and quiet. Check in and out was a breeze. Robert, the manager went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I cannot say enough good things about him and the service he gave us They had a good assortment of snacks and food to purchase and a great bar. I did not partake in the complimentary breakfast but I have heard nothing but good things about the assortment and quality of foods they serve. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay! We did the Valentine's Special... It came with a gift card to 3 eatery options-we went with Parallel 46. I also got a gift, (blanket) a vase of flowers, champagne, and some candies. The room was elegantly decorated and the spa/pool area was clean.

We were very excited to spend our last night of a very long roadtrip at the Inn. This was a special extravagance that unfortunately started off with a lot of disappointments. The salt water pool/tub area reeked of chlorine and the hot tub heater was broken. The main reason we chose this Inn was I don’t tolerate heavily chlorinated pools and after a 9+ hour car ride a hot soak would have been fantastic. Impossible on our stay. To add, the first room we were given had stained carpet in multiple areas, hair in the bathtub and clearly has hard water issues as the shower curtain and sink was stained. I was close to leaving and requesting a full refund but Anton was beyond kind and helpful. He moved us to an upgraded room that was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also nice. I still wish we would have been notified prior about the hot tub failure and given the opportunity to find a more affordable alternative in our journey or offered a discount.

We had an excellent stay in every way at Lakes Inn at Dunvilla. The setting is lovely. The rooms are clean and spacious. The linens and pillows are great. The breakfast is more than adequate and the pit fire with smores is a yummy added touch. The price is right as well. It will be a yearly visit for us.
