I got a lovely room upgraade from single to double. Very spacious, shower was temperamental. Breakfast excellenta, small but perfectly formed and tasted delicious. Will come back.

We decided to go to Seven Sisters Park temporarily. The park is not far from the hotel, and the overall is not bad. The park is very beautiful, and I recommend friends who have time to go and play.

Kind staff and excellent service. Chuffed to bits. The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of freshly cooked options to suit all tastes. The location is perfect too. I highly recommend the Sheldon B&B for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing stay. I’ll definitely be returning!

Really lovely quirky family run b&b. Warm friendly staff fabulous choice at breakfast. Lovely and clean. Great location close to everything 1 minute from the beach if that. The honesty bar is a great little touch with free tea and coffee also in the lounge. The lift was a nice surprise as we were on the second floor. Lovely big room with roll top bath. Supper comfy beds and pillows will definitely return.

Phoned and booked a double room for one night. Needed to gain entry early and park, to change to go to a wedding nearby. This was made easy by the staff I spoke to and all correspondence was easy and helpful. This building from around 1870 has high ceilings and has been adapted and adjusted to provide all you need for a comfortable stay. The decor and artwork to walls is relaxing and interesting, the services provided in the room and lounge were good and the products provided in the shower were lovely and simple to use. The breakfast was good, with a good selection to suit everyone and the staff were lovely and friendly. My wife and I enjoyed our brief stay and would stay here again if we visit Eastbourne. [Car parking is a bonus behind the building and be prepared to acurately manoevre your vehicle into a space.]

Really enjoyed my stay. As the other reviewers said it’s a quirky place and my room was a very small single room as I was travelling on business. The warmth and hospitality from the owners far out weighs the quirkiness. Location is just set back from the seafront but I enjoyed morning and evening walks which was a bonus. They have parking as well which is great. Tight driveway. The room was clean, came with toiletries, the breakfast is fabulous with a good choice of hot and cold. Music very nice for a morning start. They also have an area with teas, microwave and dishes to use at night. I stayed for three nights and I knew arriving what to expect but, as I left I felt that I would definitely come back. Perhaps I will try a larger room with a desk next time to work. I travel a lot on business and I crave friendliness, warmth and individuality when I travel. This experience was far away from sterile hotel rooms that are soulless. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent location for the beach, various restaurants, shops and the railway station - with the added bonus of having on-site parking. We were welcomed by the lovely Nickole who was full of smiles and very friendly. She explained the breakfast room, showed us the evening facilities (i.e. if you wanted use of a microwave), and where the lounge area was (with drink facilities if required). Our booking was for 2 single rooms and as requested were on the same floor. The rooms, each with their own bathroom, have everything you need and the beds were very comfy. Overall this B&B is nice and clean and in a good location. At the end of my stay I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Steve and through our chat I could see his passion for ensuring his guests would have a great stay (since they took this place on last year), and that he would be a good custodian of this lovely old Victorian building. I look forward to returning in the very near future.

Our second visit to the Sheldon which we love. Fantastic welcome, help cheerfully forthcoming with even non-accommodation problems (i.e. sorting out our tennis tickets from Lachlan). Rooms are lovely, spotless, spacious, water always hot and we love the new 'Charleston-inspired look'. We were touched by a fan being provided during a hot spell without our having to request one. Maria's and Nicole's are the faces you want to see at breakfast - always smiling, always helpful, a great asset to the Sheldon. Special thanks to Steve for forwarding a forgotten bag left in our room (see comment above about help which certainly goes above and beyond . . .). We had a wonderful stay here. Very clean and comfy. Relaxing and quiet, even with our windows open. Staff is lovely and friendly and helpful and breakfast was wonderful. Easy walking distance to many great restaurants and pubs. Easy walk to the beach as well.

Lovely new owners very pleasant nothing to much trouble breakfast was perfect fast an efficient walking distance to town for shopping and restaurants plus parking rooms nice was showed around on arrival which was real nice you could use breakfast area if you wanted to bring food back

The location is about 10 mins walk from the train station but private parking is an added bonus. The staff were friendly and home from home. Happy to use their items and have a glass of wine in their lounge. Room was a great size. Location was awesome! Close to the beach, shops and theatres. Good choice at breakfast and made to order. Would really recommend if you're staying in eastbourne. Good value for money.
