Room and facilities were lovely. Bed was very comfy. Hosts were friendly and checkin was easy. Our room was on the ground floor. Only thing that wasn’t excellent was it looked like the adjacent room’s en-suite had been created by reclaiming some space in our room, so when they used the sink we could hear the water in the pipes really loudly. It Is what it is though, would probably stay again.

I choose this b&b because it looks good in the pictures and the price looks quite attractive, but after I stay at here, I find trade conveniences for price may not be a smart choice in this case. Good point first, the room is neatly and clean, well organized. Unfortunately, that may be the only advantage it has. So, the bad points are 1,the room is very tiny, even in a area far away from city center, after sacrifices the time on transportation you still get a very small room which can’t hold a large luggage; 2,bus stops are around this house, but the nearest bus stop has only one bus bound for city center, the waiting time is up to 30mins, consider this house is far away from city center, the aggregate time comes to 1h or so; 3,not friendly for large luggages, not only because the room is tiny, but also because the gravel road with a slope makes carry a large luggage difficult. This house is more suitable for a backpacker in general, for others, think before you trade.

Stayed here for two nights in July for a good friends wedding. I booked a double room with an external bathroom. Overall was very happy with my stayed, the room was spotless, the whole hotel felt clean and the checking process was very easy (self check in). Also the communication from the owners was excellent. The hotels location is about 15 mins walk from th center, but Stockbridge is a lovely area itself and there was plenty of food options should you need (for me it was coffee that I needed!). The only downside was the size of the room. As it was in the top floor it was a tight double room, with not a lot of floor space. Not a lot of space to get changed, especially as I am not a short bloke and the room I was in had sloping ceilings. The bed was excellent to sleep in, I just would have liked more space. Also too much furniture for a room if this size. A minor thing, so next time I return I will request another room, probably one with the bathroom attached. Overall highly recommend it, would be very happy to stay again

Booked two nights to attend a family celebration in Edinburgh. Paid about £50/night for the double room, which is great value. It's a bit quirky, so go with that and you'll enjoy it. We got a great big bed in a fairly small room, which was at the back of the house making it quiet and warm. Dark blue and mustard decor, and a big mandala hanging over the bed. Furniture was maybe 'junk shop chic' but all you needed was there, including a fab coffee machine, kettle, tiny fridge etc etc. (and excellent WiFi that puts bigger more expensive places to shame.) Ensuite toilet and shower was small (small!) but everything worked and the whole place was immaculately clean. Location is central, meaning a short walk to hip n happening waspie Stockbridge, or a 15 minute pull up the hill to Princes Street. Or Uber it for maybe £7. One slightly strange thing was an absence of electric sockets. You'll have to unplug things from the (supplied) electrical extension leads if you want to charge your phone or plug in laptops etc. Overall, remember it's a guest house not a hotel, and adjust expectations according, and you'll get great value and comfort in a central location.
