Staff were excellent at check in , reception area was clean and tidy. Rooms were clean and tidy, close to shops and restaurants. Buses run frequently into Edinburgh and the trams are close by.

The hotel is in a good place out of the bustle of the city and with free parking .check in was quick and hassle free. The room was typically premier in .very clean .Nice bed and bathroom.we had the breakfast at the brewers fare next door which was good plenty of choice and well cooked we pre booked this .no real issues while there only a couple of issues with the room card not working soon sorted by reception staff .a good hotel to use as a base for a Edinburgh stay.the tram stop is 5 mins walk qnd pubs and eateries close by .I recommend.

At the end of the number 11 bus route, this Premier Inn was incredibly convenient. Right on the Newhaven Harbor, with views across the Forth. Very easy to find places to eat (Irish Dude, Fish market) and things to do (Britannia, anyone?), yet out of the crazy on Princes Street. I felt cozy and safe here for two weeks. Very glad to visit.

My Husband and I booked this hotel for a 2 night weekend break based on the location being close enough to the city centre without paying city centre prices and also the free parking. We have stayed in quite a few Premier Inns previously so knew what to expect. The most important factor for us is a comfy bed and the mattress at the Premiere Inn is perfect for us. The room is quite basic but we didn't go to spend the weekend in the room so that was okay for us. The bathroom was quite tired looking with a few mould stains which is why I have only given 4 stars. I also prefer a shower screen to a curtain. The location was good with the tram stop at most 10 minutes walk away and a bus stop closer taking you in to the city centre. There is a Brewers Fayre next door to the hotel, we didn't use it but had a look at the menu and if you're vegan there is a good selection. We choose to have dinner on our first night at Zizzi's in Ocean Terminal a few minutes drive from the hotel which also had a good selection of Vegan food. There is also a Vue cinema at Ocean Terminal if you fancy a film. The Royal Yacht Britannia is close by too. We used the tram to take us to Princess Street and from there we went to visit the castle and the Edinburgh Dungeons, then for dinner at A.S.K Italian, which again had good vegan options and we then took the tram back to the hotel. There is a tram every 7 minutes so the transport links with Edinburgh city centre are really good. I don't know how often the busses were as we didn't use them. We have previously stayed at the Premier Inn, Edinburgh Park which I have to admit is a better hotel (probably because it's newer) and just as accessible to the city centre with a tram stop just about on the doorstep but without the views.

Great location, very quiet & friendly employees. Visiting Britannia (fabulous yacht) and stayed two nights. Both evenings very peaceful. Had dinner at La Castilla (excellent) then at in hotel Brewers Fayre (also excellent). Yaza on reception gave us Forth view rooms (much appreciated) and despite the hotel appearing full it was very quiet in the rooms. Thanks very much.

Used as a base for couple of days trip to discover Edinburgh, Nice location overlooking the Firth of Forth, very close to the Tram Station allowing easy access to Edinburgh City Center. Found a great Cafe for breakfast called "The Haven" right next to the Newhaven Tram Station.

Premier Inn Leith Waterfront Newhaven Complaints 1. Not being told Wi-Fi in rooms is faulty/ only told reception had issues with Wi-Fi 2. House keeping mixing up the type of room that was booked/ was told when trying to do an early check in room number and member of staff wrote on a piece of paper room number and type for house keeping 3. Ridiculous noise that guests were making at night 02/02/2024 between 10:45pm and 11:00pm. When launched a formal complaint with reception we had been told it would be passed on to a manager and they said they would see what they could do for us (07:00am), went out for the day and when returned back to hotel at 12:45am we went down to the reception at 01:00pm to ask about the status of our complaint we had been told they knew nothing about it so had to explain it all over again 4. No water in the kettle on arrival Recommendations for improvement 1. Better decor in rooms i.e. nautical theme 2. Easily accessible HDMI ports 3. DVD players for in the rooms 4. Better WI-FI i.e. speak to Netomnia for better broadband 5. Safes in the bedrooms 6. Better tea and coffee making facilities i.e. include hot chocolate and diluting juice 7. Better wardrobe space

The room at best was ok, view of car park and usual premier inn room. The breakfast was appalling. Service poor. Lots of tables with dirty plates etc so struggled to find a table we could sit at. The food was poor quality and poorly cooked. Limited choice as most of items were empty or morsels left. We ate at 9am so not late. We left hungry and annoyed.

Location and view fantastic, plenty to see and do in the area (visitor attractions, local restaurants) planning to come back to see the sights we couldn’t see Lothian bus transport were excellent and so close to Edinburgh city centre. Service and selection of food and drinks to suit all, a good but quick trip.
