had a fantastic stay here! there were 10 of us who all booked out a dorm. was quiet, clean and good quality. there are two bathrooms and two toilets per dorm which i thought was very good. our room wasn’t ready for an extra half an hour so they gave us free drink tokens for the bar! the reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because it was awfully hot in the room - even with the window open! there didn’t seem to be air con - we wondered even if the hostel had put the heating on? we didn’t try the breakfast. the hotel bar had decent food but long waits.

We loved our stay. The staff were all frienldy and the service was brilliant overall. The breakfasts were delicious, and there's a good choice of dishes. We stayed in the Lost Lager room, and it was brilliant! Lots of space and the facilities were great. Couple of downsides were the noise from outside/other rooms and the fact you can't login to your own streaming services and the choices availble were very limited. However, the rest of the facilities were fab - loved the terrace, sweet pick n mix and the free water and coffee in the lounge area on the 1st floor. We'd definitely stay here and at other BrewDog hotels again.

im stayed at adagio dec 14 - dec 16. its not a good experience for first timer in edinburgh. we stayed at room 226. our shower come slowly. we complained at dec 15. until dec 16 still no response. dec 17 i complained again with staff GABRIELLA ( in the morning). they sent staff to check our room. at 21.00 pm we just came back to hotel. and we got shocked, because they took off the shower and all the water in the bath room off. i called to the staff they said cant fix it. with no regret or sorry expression gabriella asked me to move to another room at level 4. ( im travelling with 3 kids). when i called her again she just hang up the phone. as a hotel under accor, you should ask me first about shower cant fix it. not directly took off everthing. because it imposible to us in the middle of the night packing all our luggage with 3 tired kids. you must train your staff how to serve guest. very dissapointed with your hotel esp with gabriella. never come back to adagio edinburgh 😡

Location, price and service were all good. In particular, the postcards and chocolate bars handwritten by the CEO were impressive. If I go to Edinburgh next time, I definitely want to go back to this hotel. It was remodeled and the cleanliness was also very good. There is only one thing, the name has changed, but it is a bit regretful that I was lost in front of the old hotel name on Trip.com.

Weather and the best time to travel to Edinburgh:

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. It is the second-most populous city of Scotland and is among the 20 most populated cities of the United Kingdom. The city has an overall population of about a million as of 2018, and the total area of the capital city is about 102 miles squared. Edinburgh is the hub of Scotland culturally, diplomatically, educationally, and financially. The city includes its former villages and towns from the 19th century after expanding and retains its true old character in many aspects. The New Town and Old Town areas of Edinburgh are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The climate of Edinburgh is very similar to the rest of the country. The region experiences a maritime, temperate climate that is mild in comparison to other places (like Moscow) which lie on the same latitudinal level. This temperate nature is due to the moderating effect due to Edinburgh’s proximity to the sea. The city is situated in between coast and hills and is often referred to as “the windy city”. Winter temperatures of Edinburgh cannot be called freezing, but yes winters can get a bit cold there. Talking about summers, the days are not very hot or scorching, rather they are mildly warm.

It is located in the city’s Ingliston area some 8 miles away from the city centre. The road distance from the airport to the city can be covered in about 20 minutes. There are many options for getting to Edinburgh from Edinburgh Airport. One can make this journey via taxis, buses, trains, or trams. The main bus operators of Edinburgh and the regions around it are First Edinburgh Buses and Lothian Buses. For a day, unlimited travel costs 4 £ and that rate is the cap of what these buses can charge in a day. One can also use taxis to commute in the city. The black taxis in Edinburgh are a sort of popular phenomenon. They can be hailed on streets, hired physically from stands, or booked on phones too. Apart from these black taxis, there are also private cabs that can be hired to move in and around Edinburgh city comfortably.

How to get to the destination:

Edinburgh Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country. It is easy to get a flight to Edinburgh from almost any part of the world.
