This memorable place is anything but ordinary. If you're dreaming of a luxurious tent experience you've found it! A queen foam mattress with cotton sheets, mini fridge, coffee, and microwave, small charcoal grill, & dishes, hammock and fire ring, outdoor seating are included. Campground bathrooms are about 80 yards away with hot showers, parking a little further on. Sun shade & AC help with heat, but still may be warm during hot days. Night may be cool even with use of space heater when less than 20 degrees. The obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome at our campground, we provide stalls and the Lincoln trailhead hiker and horse friendly. There are several cave tours to choose & you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 20-25 minutes via Green River Ferry route call to check schedule, 40 minutes without)Trail rides are provided at Double J Stables. (5 minutes) Advance reservation recommended. Opening for the season April -November, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare. Bee spring PJs roadhouse. Bouys at Wax Marina is a fun lake view restaurant experience. Nearby Webb Mart and Forks of Mammoth Cave serve tasty fare in a country store setting. The Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you. In Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do. Cave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been open since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River. There are attractions such as Dinosaur World, Kentucky Down Under, & Mammoth Cave Adventure. A favorite stop for me is Leo’s woodworking as you exit the park toward cave city.I recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops nearby in the little downtown.10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the Variety Shoppe (equine& homegoods) & Detweilers, which has a small bakery and deli and everything from gardening to furniture. There is a separate hunting & fishing store, Crazy bears, next to detweilers. Make memories at this unique farm stay. A charming, rustic get away for the end of the trail. Enjoy comfort with 3 bedroom/1 bath. Bedroom 1 is updated with king bed, bedroom 2 has 2 twins and bedroom 3 has a queen bed. We use mainly cotton sheets and lightweight quilts so they can be washed and dried easily between guests. We strive for low scent use with non scented detergent and low/unscented cleaners whenever we can. We do use lemon eucalyptus essential oil regularly, so let us know if this is an issue for you so we won’t use it during the clean prior to your stay. There’s a pellet stove for cold days. Mini split a/c + heat in main area, window units in each bedroom and space heaters are supplied for extra comfort as desired. At this farm stay you can visit the goats, horses, chickens, and bunny and maybe give them a provided treat. Located about 800 feet from Mammoth Cave's Lincoln Trailhead, you're able to bring your own horses to keep at our barn.Despite thorough cleanings, there is a possibility for bugs, because we currently use natural pest solutions in order for our farm to support pollinators. Also, being a farm, sightings of arachnids, insects, and pests may occur. No refunds or cancellation will be issued as such.***This cabin shares a roof with the campground’s bathrooms. They have exterior only entrances, but there are shared walls just as you’d find at a hotel etc. Local favorites:The obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! We have opened up the Bunkhouse next to out Ranch house for guests that want a comfortable and relaxing get away from the city life or an exciting adventure out of their norm. We are family owned and operated Horse Ranch. We're still building as we go and improving every day to become a place where we can entertain, educate and rehabilitate folks from all over. Our welcoming committee is a very friendly group of dogs that bark to let us know you are here and meet you at your door for petting and a sweet hello. The horses are everywhere and just as curious and loving as the dogs here...just a tad bigger. You can stay to yourself and explore the Ranch or mix n mingle with us as we come n go during the day. The Bunkhouse is comfy and has several personal touches to make it magical for young or older folks. Welcome to The Loft at The Fruit of the Spirit! Hi! I’m Diana and my husband Brent and I lovingly finished this loft with attention to every detail. We ran a family remodeling business in Ohio for 25 years and are now moving to Cub Run to build this beautiful retreat center and work the land full-time. This loft is above our first barn, (which will eventually have a little storefront) and our first cabin is now available up the road on this property and we are so excited to share it with you! We owned a vacation rental down the street and sold it with the goal of building two cabins. We are now in the process of building our second cabin, which is going to be awesome, with a glass garage door in the kitchen and a sauna on the patio. We are also building a venue barn that will house a workout room, game/gathering room, a large kitchen and more!Once complete, we plan to host small events, family gatherings and retreats. Our goal is to give back 10% to churches that choose Fruit of the Spirit Cabins and Retreat Center for their events and retreats. There are a lot of vacation rentals popping up in the area, but as previous guests have told us, NONE compare to our amenities, cleanliness and amazing property! Come and see it for yourself, and if we are around, we’ll even take your for a tour in our sxs :)Nestled among the rolling acres of Amish farms all around, please drive slowly as there are often buggies and Amish on foot, who will always wave hello, so be sure to do the same:)We have plenty of room to park boats and toys!! Centrally located with boat ramp right down at the end of our road, 8 miles to Blue Holler ATV park, 11 miles to Nolin Lake State Park, and 45 minutes to the Mammoth Cave visitor center if you take the ferry, always call first, Green River Ferry Hotline at (270) 758-2166) Come get away from it all and discover God's country!**NO HUNTING ALLOWED **HIKE AT YOUR OWN RISK**THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT HAVE A SPA OR POOL, I HAVE HAD VRBO CORRECT THIS COUNTLESS TIMES BUT THEIR AI IS LABELING THE PICTURES OF THE GROUNDS INCORRECTLYAbout pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 13-17.About customRules:Hike at your own risk.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 25.About events:No events allowed.

It sleeps up to 6 adults, with a pull-out sofa bed in the living room to provide extra sleeping space. You can enjoy amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, Wifi, and smart TV. The kitchen is well stocked with a with cookware, utensils, dishes, coffee maker, ice maker, and more. This lake home is 5 miles from Nolin Lake State Park and beach and hiking trails, 10 min from Blue Holler mud and 4-wheeler trails, 30 min from Mammoth Cave, and 30 min from Beech Bend amusement park. The neighborhood has a community boat ramp about 1/2 mile away where you can launch and recover your boat easily and a couple of marinas on the lake. This is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet getaway without the busyness of the city! In case you forget something, there are several local mini markets (Webb’s and Sailings) close by and a Dollar General Market about 10 minutes (5 miles) away. One of the local Amish stores has amazing donuts on Saturday mornings and a Walmart is just 30 minutes away in Leitchfield. Please be advised the US Corps of Engineers own Nolin Lake and is used for flood control. Lake access is best during the summer as the Corps lowers the lake (25 to 30 feet) starting late October. Due to flood control aspects of the lake, the walk up and down to the water is steep, and some guests might find it difficult. Winter pool is 25-30 feet below summer pool. Which makes the lake inaccessible during winter months. During rainy seasons the lake has been known to go 25 ft above summer pool. Also making the lake hard to access. We try very hard to keep the access to the lake available but sometimes the levels change drastically and are hard to keep up. We do the best we can. The water levels can be checked at the Nolin River website.Owners reside next door and the property has exterior security cameras. Two dogs (under 50 pounds each) are allowed for a pet fee of $75/trip. Please be sure to add them to your reservation prior to checking out.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 50 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total).About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 25.About events:Events allowed: family gatherings and birthday parties.Maximum event attendees: 10.
